If you want to meet beautiful people and enjoy a pure river, with water all year round, free with shade and excellent temperature, you should stay here. We have spent whole days in the water. We arrived on a very hot Sunday and there were a lot of people, but on Monday it was just people from the area. We slept next to Chema's palapa that he had already shared with other travelers who passed through here and he invited us to park next to him. People gave us mangoes (it was the season) and the children of the children of other palapas who had already shared with other travelers and wanted to spend time with us came to chat. He tries to bring something to entertain them, all the other travelers are teaching him to do different things and we assure you that it is worth it. There are public restrooms for $5 and you can also consume whatever you need in the palapas or in town. Internet works with a code that is bought at the palapas.

Good and safe place. We spent 2 nights there and were happy to meet other travelers spending time at the river.
Report Check-InVery nice place for locals, river was pretty high the time we visited it, everyone was just sitting in the river drinking beer. The place has very unique atmosphere through the day, we wanted to stay and thought it would be safe, but all the locals that we were talking to told us that it's not safe at all in the night. It's mostly because of many immigrants passing these parts of Mexico right now and since it rains every night they are just looking for a dry place to stay overnight. We moved to Pemex for the night which is still the best option when you are not sure where to park when it's getting dark.
Report Check-InWas really busy and the water a bit high so there wasn’t a lot of space to park, didn’t stay
Report Check-Inwe stayed at the other side of the river. under the bridge.
had a very nice meal and beer (s). noisy from the traffic at night. but good! for a night on the river. safe.
Cool spot: little bit noisy with the bridge but ok. No one during the night. Very cool
Report Check-Inwhat a fantastic spot especially with the heat. to access cross the bridge and turn right directly after. it is a river bed with stones. yoi can park directly at the river. loads of people on the weekend. there are plenty of comedores to get cheap and delicious food and drinks. it is only accessible from December to May due to rain season.
