Perfect spot for all size rigs and a few tents too. Breathtaking views. And a double rainbow for an hour.

Just as everyone else was saying, very popular but well worth it for the views. Had a fantastic sunrise and all around good time. When I came in it had been drizzling all day and the entire road was mud, but it was substantially worse after the turnoff on the main gravel road. I did not have a problem getting to my spot with a base 2016 Subaru crosstrek, but when I left in the morning awd was necessary to make it back to the main drag with the thick clay. The mud was bad enough that I ended up going into the park and using a picnic spot to make breakfast instead of stomping around in it, though it wouldn’t have been impossible!

Got there at dusk and drove until we found a decent spot for our travel trailer. Lovely sunset and easy enough to get in and out of. Most others were already gone by the time we pulled out around 10am.

Tons of spots. I stopped by the grasslands visitors center in Wall before and he told me to avoid the southern part of the road and come back out the north side when leaving.

Lots of campers here all along the edge, but we had no trouble finding a level spot for our 25' RV. Definitely one of the most beautiful views we've had during our road trip. Would stay again - however the ground probably becomes very muddy when it rains, so beware.

Fair amount of other campers, but still found a handful of great spots with amazing views of the badlands. VERY windy so I don’t recommend if you plan for any outdoor cooking. It had rained a bunch the few days prior and the day of my visit so the road and camp pullouts were all mud. The mud here is super sticky and clay-like. I ended up with over an inch of mud covering my tires and bottoms of my shoes. I have an AWD compact suv and was sliding around on some parts of the road and while trying to park at the perfect angle so I don’t recommend smaller FWD/RWD vehicles after there has been a decent amount of rain. There were some big rigs in there so I guess they found the muddy roads to still be manageable.

Very busy but there were at least a few open spots each night. Very convenient for visiting the park & the road is in good condition. All size rigs here. Good Verizon & TMobile.

Just thought I’d add something, this is a loop and is labeled on Google maps. I was here 2 nights and the entrance further from the park (closer to fwy) is a much smoother ride in. Hardly any potholes as apposed to the other side. You can access any of the other spots from either side, a loop as mentioned.
Agree with all, great spot with beautiful view; can be very windy.

Stayed one night in this area. Great spot with great views. Sunsets are beautiful and there are also cows grazing in the field.

Great place! Amazing views. Easy to find a spot to camp. There is nothing there, so make sure you bring everything you need!

One of the best boondocking spots in the US. Gorgeous views and lots of spots. Lots of other campers of course.

Beautiful dispersed camping. Amazing views!

Perfect place to camp. Very accessible with any vehicle really. Good cell signal. I had between 5 bars of 5G and 3 bars of 4G LTE with AT&T. Beautiful view. Just be careful cause most of the sites are right next to a cliff. There are sits further back from the cliff if that's not your thing

Beautiful! This is our first go at dispersed camping in our Westy. Simply amazing views! A local sheriff drove by to do a safety check. There were about eight other vehicles dotted along the cliffs. I did say cliffs. Be careful!!!
