There are several pull out spots and larger areas with fire rings by the boat ramp. There was too much traffic for a wildlife area for me, so I left after one night.
Report Check-InTried to fix this online but the free camping seems to only come in combination with a permit varying between a day pas of 4 dollar or fishing/hunting permits... too much hassle for a free spot, we moved on.

Report Check-InPretty vast back here. Ends in a boat launch area. Not too many incredible spots. A lot seemed to be at trailheads. But we found a pretty spot at the end. Need a free permit to camp. Can stay up to 14 days in a 28 day period. I added a picture of the notice posted at the entry sign.

Just be sure to get an authorization from a DWR agent (free) to camp.
