Description
Rivercamp with about 15 Stands - lots of long(we)term parker, mostly people that are building property in Orania that set up a camp during the building process.
Power plugs (bring a blue plug), water at site.
Small and clean ablution block.
Portable Braai stands.
Camping fee is 280 per stand, up to 4 people.
As I am travelling on my own they gave me the pensioner rate of 200 Zar.
The entrance by car is through the big gate with the two white pillars outside of town. Walking it’s just next to the other campsite.
One needs to phone the owner Peter to open the gate. +27 (82) 897-0778
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

There is one place just at the entrance to the campground where big rigs can park. The only downside: the generator is very close. There is also the option to park next to a house close to the campground. price for 2 people was R250 per night. Restaurant is close by.
Report Check-InRight next to the river! The lady with whom we booked sent us a book full of do’s and don’ts. R150 per stand per night, ablutions clean and gas geysers, well looked after stands with grass. Water and electricity on stands. Very good wood for sale for your campfire. Pity about the generator working away for somebody somewhere but not for us, all we got was the noise. Let’s blame loadshedding…….
