Latest Check-Ins

Due to a variety of issues (noise, garbage, altercations etc.), Walmart no longer permits parking over 3 hours. By extension, no overnight parking. I called to confirm.

Report Check-In

not usually a walmart rver.quiet night with 10 others.

Report Check-In

I was shopping at Walmart when I noticed a few vans and RVs pulling in for the evening. I stayed the night with about 10 others. Please be respectful and low key so this place stays open.

Report Check-In

stayed the night. many others. no problems.

Report Check-In

great easy place to spend an easy night.......................

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a night. 50-60 other vans and RVs. This is one of the few places in the area you can stay at, it’s technically not allowed but they don’t enforce it. PLEASE be respectful. When we showed up, people were tailgating, grilling, hanging out on their lawn chairs outside. This is NOT a campground, it’s because of people who treat it as such, these places close down. Be respectful, quiet, clean, and stealth, and don’t overstay your welcome.

Report Check-In

There are signs that say 3 hour limit for parking however we stayed the night with approximately 25 other campers with no issues.

Report Check-In

No longer allowed to stay. There were many rvs that took up permanent residence and they decided to stop letting people stay. So unfortunate.

We all need to remember to do a better job.

Report Check-In

walmart has started handing out “unauthorized parking” notices and towing vehicles, though there do still seem to be some people living here including a 40ft class a with a boat hitched to it taking up 9 spots, so not sure exactly how they are enforcing it, but did we did wake up this morning to two tow trucks waiting around in the parking lot and the manager saying “so we are going to tow that van, and that one…”. still a lot of people parked here at night but maybe don’t leave your rig here past opening.

Report Check-In

Starting to crack down on overnighters!
Have stayed here a few times and they just swapped out all the signage in the lot (now says "Customer Parking Only, 3 Hour Limit") and they just walked around and left postings on all the winshields staying that this is a private lot for customers only and we need to leave immediately. There's definitely some full-timers here, so we'll see how quickly things clear out, but looking like this gem of a WalMart has had enough...

Report Check-In

Never seen so many campers/rv in a walmart parking lot. Over 50 other campers but everybody very respectful so had some very quiet nights

Report Check-In

spent 2 night here, a lot of people, van and rv but really quiet.

Report Check-In

this Walmart parking lot is completely overcome by car campers, van lifers, and RVs. some seem to be there long term. there are at least 50 rigs in this small lot. there are signs saying 2 hr parking only. seems mostly chill but after we parked and got ready for bed, our neighbor's dog started going crazy around 11:30pm and then they turned their RV on and ran the generator. it was pretty loud and I'd be surprised if it didn't wake everyone around up. others seem friendly and respectful.

Report Check-In

Abends füllt sich der Parkplatz mit Übernachtungsgäste. Dauergäste sind auch dort.
nachts halbwegs ruhig.

Report Check-In

J'y ai passé 2 nuits dans un gros vr. Très tranquille, mais ÉNORMÉMENT d'autres vr. On dirait un terrain de camping, mais personne ne vient vous achaler.

Report Check-In

I counted over 70 campers here last night. It was unbelievable! And surprisingly the cleanest and quietest Walmart stay we've ever experienced. What a generous Walmart to allow this many campers here. Please keep respectful here!

Report Check-In

Classic Walmart !

Great place to stay for a night or more. I spend 3 nights here and felt safe. There are a lot of other rv’s and car, some people pass by and others seems to spend all their nights here.

There are « 3 hours parking » signs, but not enforced. Toilets are clean and the staff don’t care about you (in a good way!).

Report Check-In

We stayed 1 night, good place, nobody bothered us.
Many other vans and rvs were here.
Cell signal good.
Toilets available inside Walmart.

Nos quedamos una noche aquí, buen lugar, nadie nos molestó.
Muchas otras vans se quedaron aquí.
Señal de celular buena.
Sanitarios disponibles dentro del Walmart.

Report Check-In

Unbelievable amount of RVs here. Some definitely living here for extended periods of time. Still good for a night while it lasts

Report Check-In

Stayed a night. Feels a bit weird because there are so many vans, RVs and car campers. Lots of them in really bad shape, several working on cars or campers during the day. Worked out okay but the atmosphere is strange and the Walmart itself isn't the greatest either.

Report Check-In

super awesome Wal-Mart let's rv's etc overnight here

Report Check-In

Spend already a few nights here. Never seen so many campers on a Walmart parking! Even in November.
Quiet at night.
Recommend!

Report Check-In

Stayed no problem. People are not stealthy at all. Easily 50 campers here last night. Everyone is super quiet at night it’s amazing

Report Check-In

Close to fifty vans, rv’s and car campers parked here for the night. The half of the parking lot furthest from the store has no signs and seems to be fair game. Some noise from the main highway otherwise a great place to spend the night.

Report Check-In

I have stayed at roughly 50 different Walmarts in the US & CAN over the years and this is probably the most van / rv friendly environment I have experienced. Tons of campers parked overnight.

Report Check-In

Staying here is still tolerated. There were a huge amount of vans staying for the night (30+)
Some people are putting their tables and chairs out and a massive RV extended its horrendous side panels. Walmart may get sick of this scene

Report Check-In

More campers here than any Walmart I've ever been to! But everyone was super quiet and respectful during the two nights that we stayed. Very convenient location for exploring Squamish.

Report Check-In

We asked the customer service and we received a NO!
No overnight parking anymore !!!
To much problems in the past !

Report Check-In

This place is definitely not closed. slept there no problem last weekend and there were tons of other campers there too. thank you!

Report Check-In

Slept in my car for one night without any issues. Tons of other campers, RV's, and car campers. Would highly recommend.

Report Check-In

No issues parking here for the night - saw a sign on our way out that was on the ground saying no overnight camping. Hope they keep it open as it is very convenient.

Report Check-In

Squamish by-law told us it was okay to park here overnight. Tons of other compares. Doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Report Check-In

Woah!! Tonight, at least 30 rigs of all styles, lengths and years..., and (sadly) some with slide-outs opened and table and chairs... only missing the fire pits to look like a real campground... How long will the Walmart tolerate this??...

Report Check-In

perfect place for overnight.
no problems at all

Report Check-In

Signs everywhere saying no parking. I did not see any rvs or vans.

Report Check-In

stayed 2 nights with many many other RVs and vans. thought we were home free but got a knock on the window this morning from a grumpy Walmart employee saying "it's 9am you need to move" - not sure what parameters are, he didn't say, but id just park in a different spot night and leave on the earlier side.
it's a smaller lot and many rvs so I'm really surprised they haven't cracked down more us parking here.

Report Check-In

sleeping here for 4 nights in a row with absolutely no Problems. every night a few other campers. just be tidy and dont leave stuff here. unfortunately the walmart does Not have any fruits or vegetables :) but washrooms are clean.

Report Check-In

Washroom in Walmart was clean. Spent a peaceful, quiet night in my RAV4. It rained on and off throughout the night, but the sound of the rain kept me from listening for the boogie man. Left at 3am and there were approx 12 other overnighters. This was my first car-camping experience and I loved it!

Report Check-In

Was hesitant to stay here with squamishes “no camping” bylaw, however I stayed here for the night, 8-10 other camping vehicles as well without any issue. Definitely easier in a stealth vehicle, but there were definitely a few normal campers as well without issue. Be careful and don’t abuse the spot, park in the back and you should be fine

Report Check-In

No problem in the Walmart parking lot. Other campers were there also.
