The road had been graded and this was the only place we could cross over the gravel berm. It is a nice place with dozens of BLM disbursed camping spots, all level, and a few with fire rings. There are some shrubs. Far enough away from I8 and train tracks to not hear them at night. We had the place to ourselves. 1 or 2 bars of Verizon.

Report Check-InStayed here for one night after leaving Yuma. Pick up supplies before going to site cuz there's nothing nearby. Was able to drive in off in my low clearance van. Do so with caution.

Report Check-InThe other user who advised to not turn at the dip is referring to the actual wash, the area eroded by water runoff. One look and it’s obvious that you should not drive into that. The access is at (32.7376036, -113.7384094) It is the left turn immediately after the wash. The wash is the lowest point of the road, and before and after it are permanent yellow signs that advise not to cross when flooded. The access is between the signs, closer to the north sign. Right now there are two temporary traffic barricades between the signs positioned on the left edge of the road. The barricades are the Type 1/Type 2 that hinge at the top and have a flashing light (the lights are currently off). The access turn is where the second barricade is placed.
Report Check-Inour camp spot was on 32.73677, -113.74021, off the road on the left side just past the little road wash/dip. We had a great afternoon and evening. Almost no highway noise, no other campers and beautiful views. Highway rest stop one mile away.

Report Check-InAwesome spot! Very quiet and lots of dispersed camping. When the road has been graded there’s a berm but just have to find the entry spot - it’s only small anyways. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InTIP - If you're here on a hot afternoon, drive up the track towards the hill as far as you can. There's no shade from trees, but you will get sunset shade half an hour before the lower sites, as the sun dips behind the mountain.

Report Check-Infantastic place to stop for the night. ok there is no shade so hot, but after the sun disappears behind the rocks its cooler. nobody there just us the sky full of stars and a couple of coyotes
Report Check-InThis was a great little camp spot right off the highway. It was pretty spacious. We camped at the base of one of the hills for the night enjoyed the scenery and the stars. It is perfect for an overnight. We had no trouble finding a place for our sprinter van.
Report Check-InThere are dozens of free, level, BLM sites here, well dispersed. Some have campfire rings. A gravel berm had been crossed enough times for us to cross with our 18' easily. 1 or 2 Verizon bars. We can't hear the freeway from here. Avenue 52½ E is washboard for ½ mile, not terrible. Camping is free.
