Description

Easy road down from the main road. Lovely place with grass, trees and white 'beach' sand. Place is subject to change as the river changes course over time and this spot is used by locals to fill bags of river sand. No Claro reception, some CNT reception. Garbage bin present.

We camped here on a sunday afternoon. Lots of locals until dawn. At night a couple showed up for 2 hours. They did not bother us. There is some trash and some sand flies. It is good spot for a night.

Very nice spot off the highway. Quiet at night, only a couple people came by and used the river. Quite a bit of garbage, but we managed to pick up 2 bags and made the place look new again.

Beautiful but dirty .. there are some people comming to get sand out of the river! I think its also some fuck-place of the village because there are tons of used condoms around! Maybe not go with children lol

Lovely spot next to the river. Some women were washing clothes in the river and were picked up later by the rest of the family.. Friendly hellos but they kept to themselves. No one bothered us. Wonderful birdsong at dusk and dawn and only the rushing water of the river could be heard.

Still a good place to stay. It seems it is "cultivated" a bit as there is a sort of swimming pool, constructed with an excavater, so it is likely to stay this way. Quiet during the weekdays, don't know about weekends. Some CNT coverage, depending on the spot you choose. Good gravel road, also in wet conditions.

our favourite wildcamp spot in Ecuador! It has it all: quiet and safe, no stray dogs which makes a nice change, very little trash, lots of opportunity for a fire, natural beauty, a river and a small lake with calm and shallow water. Sun and/or shade, whichever you prefer, reasonable cellphone reception with CNT. Only 4 people came by in the 3 days we were there. A big rig could fit on the main area, but if you take the 2nd entrance on your left just before the bridge, you will find another nice big spit, suitable for one, maybe 2 big rigs .
