Description

*Overnight camping/parking is NOT available at this location.
.....
Coming from the South (Morro Bay), all the pull-offs from Highway 1 have a “No overnight parking” sign until just South of this spot where there is a sign “End of no overnight parking”. This is a pull-off on the left of the Highway (ocean-side) with no ocean view. Just rolling hills and obviously the sound of traffic on Highway 1, which is not too bad. It is not quite level, but nothing a block won’t fix.

Two signs say: “NO PARKING SUNSET TO 6 AM”

Report Check-In

Stayed one night here, its okay and no one bothered us. Pullout is big enough you can get away from traffic but still you are sitting on the side of the highway.

I have a feeling the locals and cops are keeping a close eye on all the no camping pullouts along highway one. No one bothered us here so it seems legit for camping.

Report Check-In

Stopped here for an afternoon hike. In the parking lot of the trail itself. easy trail winding through hills, eventually reached cliffs by the sea. there are no parking signs in the trailhead lot however the nearby pulloff seems to be fair game. no cell service

Report Check-In

We stayed three night in this place without problem. It’s not an amazing place for sure and very noisy with the road but it is the closest one we found from morro bay with no sign of « camping not allowed » !

Report Check-In

Large pullout. Close to level. No signs. close to highway so definitely road noise.
