Beautiful red desert past some cool dinosaur tracks. Stayed here one night and saw an amazing sunset, stars, and a gorgeous sunrise in the morning. TONS of room for pets to run around and grab some cool pictures of them climbing on some of the larger rocks. Very, very, quiet.

Easy to find and many many many large pull offs available. Plus cool dinosaur tracks to be seen in the morning

Report Check-In

Was told not allowed to stay here anymore. Lady gave me weird vibes. Left.

Nice place to stay, the man at the dinosaur tracks told us where to stay and that they offer tours trough the tracks on a tip base. I would take care of the broken glass when having kids or animals running around otherwise it is a nice place to stay.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Lots of broken glass everywhere. We weren’t bothered by anyone but this road leads into town of Moenave so there were cars driving by. The dinosaur tracks were cool!

Report Check-In

We arrived after dark (around 6.30 pm), there was nobody at the tracks site. Similarly in the morning, probably because we are off-season. Nobody asked us for any money. Was quite windy when we were here.

Stopped here but didn’t stay. Kind of a Navajo tourist trap.

Came here upon reviews but there was no guide. We came around 6 pm.Locals told us it’s fine to stay. I think technically you do need a permit. we stayed close to the road to stay safe, there were a few cars passing by every now and then. No one else was here

I visited this place yesterday. Paid the guide $20 and made some friends. Came here today. Talk to the say guy. And will stay tonight. The previous guide told me that no one will bother me. It is 9pm. No one bothered me.

Report Check-In

We pulled into the parking area across from the dinosaur tracks close to sunset, and asked the native guy there if there was a place to park overnight. He said where we were was fine. I gave him $10 since he usually leads people around the tracks for donations. While setting up a woman came around telling us it cost $20 for “room and board.” We gave her a few more bucks and got her assurance that no one else would come asking. LOL. We’d probably have been fine going another half-mile as the OP did, but there was some traffic on the road for some kind ceremony and we wanted to be sure we were out of the way. Beautiful, quiet place overnight.

Pretty cool spot. The tracks are right there as you pull in. A guy in a truck was there and gave me alittle tour looking for donations. Showed me Dino tracks/bones in the lime stone as well as jellyfish
