Solo female here! This spot is incredible. It’s a little ways in from the highway, right next to a cattle guard on top of a hill. There’s two fire rings and basically no privacy but the best part? There’s a little path to the peak of the hill with even more breathtaking sunset views. I feel pretty safe too. There are quite a few rigs (mostly rv’s) down the road and not much traffic past here. I don’t suggest bringing a big rig all the way up here because of the steep dips in the road, but the grade of it isn’t bad at all. Fluctuating 1-3 bars of Verizon LTE.

Had a good night here but a very sketchy experience during the day. A man in a silver pickup truck pulled in directly behind my car almost blocking me in, got out took a picture of my car, and started digging through the back of his truck. I didn’t stick around to see what his plan way and very quickly got out of there.
Report Check-Invery chill little spot! fire pit, couple other campers, not too noisy, perfect for a nights stay
Report Check-InAs described. We pulled in at 10:00 p.m. in a van. Road was hilly and bumpy but completely passable. completely worth the 2 miles off the highway. at cattle guard take right and head up incline to fire circle with epic view toward the hills.
Report Check-InStayed one night and will absolutely return! Drove to the secondary campsite just up the hill for a little more privacy. A short hike up the hill takes you to another fire pit and a very peaceful place to spend your time. Relatively clean and good cell service.
Report Check-InDistant noise from the interstate, nobody else out here. Level spots, but steep grades and a lot of washboard to get out here.
