We arrived at 10am on a Friday in late October. No one there, no signs prohibiting you from flying the drone and believe us if you have one, you must fly it! Seeing this view from above is something entirely different! AMAZING!

It's cleary better to go in the morning, the light is much more better : you can see the holes and even the reflects of the moutains in the water.

Ojos de Mar is very close to the city of Tolar Grande - there are many warnings of “No Camping”, “Do not stay long” and “Avoid fines”. The best time to visit is from 09h-13h.

Ojos de Mar fica bem próximo à cidade de Tolar Grande - existem muitos avisos de “proibido acampar”, “não fique por muito tempo” e “evite multas”. O melhor horário para visita é da 09h-13h.

ojo Del mar. Water holes in the salar, populated by stromatolites which are among the oldest traces of life on the planet. you can't get close to them because they are preserved. very nice drone view. To better see the ojo Del Mar you have to go before noon to avoid the reflection of the sun.

Trous d’eau dans le salar, peuplés de stromatolites qui sont parmi les plus anciennes traces de vie sur la planète. vous ne pouvez pas vous en approcher car ils sont préservés. très joli vue de drone. pour mieux voir les ojo Del mar il faut il aller avant midi pour éviter le reflet du soleil.

They don’t like any off-road driving in this area, so please always stay on the roads!
We spend the night in our camper on the parking lot and nobody complained.
Beautiful place. Only disadvantage: parking lot is close to the main road and there is some traffic to the mine even at night.
Much quieter option to camp is behind the mine going towards Antofalla.

Beautiful place, but camping is not allowed. Ranger came and told us that it is prohibited.

altough a beautiful spot to camp ov ernight, we were forced to leave by a ranger. had to camp in Tolar Grande. The Ojos del mar itselves are magnificent!!
