[Suggest 300 metres to the east on the old helipad clearing would be a more pleasant place.]
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Just to confirm that the clearing on the bank of the river just a bit upstream is a better option as it will get you further away from the road noise and dust. If you get to the official heliport, you have gone a bit too far.
Report Check-InWe camped upstream (toward Hidroelectrica) about 400m from where this is marked. There are two helispots, one current with a sign and the other slightly downstream, not signed, and seemingly abandoned as it has become somewhat overgrown. We parked on the riverside edge of the abandoned one near an electric power pole. In view of the road but about 50m off it with plenty of river noise. It is a scramble, but it was possible to get down to the river for a bath. Free, no services.
