Latest Check-Ins

This is an update on my check in from yesterday. Had a good night. No issues. But after rereading a check in from 2023/11/12 that mentions an animal carcass behind the big rock, I wanted to warn others who stop here. I was walking my dog last evening and took a route around the far back corner to the west of the rest area. Someone has had a fire on the road there. I noticed a largish white thing at the base of a tree. Thinking it was garbage, only to discover a large dead dog. Disturbing to say the least. I did not investigate further. Poor thing either dumped there or possibly dumped then hit by a car?? But after the other report of a dead animal here, I’d be concerned if this is some creeps dumping ground for animals. Who do you report this to?? I am from Canada and would call the RCMP or the SPCA. But have no idea about here.

While this is a free place to stay overnight and is appreciated, it’s sad to see the neglect and lack of upkeep. This would have been a lovely spot when it was first built, but it now gives off a grungy, dirty, post-apocalyptic vibe. Lol! There are lots of garbage cans, places to park overnight in any size rig and covered picnic tables if you need one. Why outhouses were not built here, who knows. The lack of them is apparent with the TP lying around in abundance. Be careful while walking pets💩

Report Check-In

Rest area, picnic stop. any size rig will fit. Quiet. good overnight. 3 rigs here last night

Report Check-In

Can confirm it's a good overnight stop. Keep clear of the deeper perimeter sections. There's plenty of broken bottles and Toilet Paper/wipes all in the more secluded parts. There's even an animal carcass behind the big rock. Plenty of coverd picnic tables and trash cans.

Report Check-In

super quiet, big area. not too much going on after 10:00 on the highway next to you. some trees to break up the wind. lots of space. Big Rigs can fit here
