Description

Very nice and peaceful campsites with lots of trees on the river. Individual basic but clean ablutions for every site with flush toilets and a hot shower provided by a donkey. Every site has a solar-powered electrical point for charging of electrical equipment, etc. Beaven (+264 817045185) and Allen (+264 814747050) are always available and very keen to assist with everything. The sites are very neat and are being continually upgraded. It is a no-frills campsite at an affordable rate of NAD 200 ppn. We spent 2 wonderful days here with only the sounds of birds. Definitely recommend. Excellent LTE MTC cellphone reception.

Very nice, big and tranquil campsites. We were given the number 6 by the friendly owner, Geoffrey, which had an amazing view towards an open area where lechwes were grazing and views towards Bwabwata. Green grass, lots of nice shade from trees. Donkey shower. N$200 per person, N$20 for a bundle of firewood. Great add is that by staying here you support the orphanage and the kids’ school efforts. Highly recommendable place to stay. Would come again.

Very big private lawn site with individual rustic, but very clean ablutions, with flush toilets and a hot shower provided by a donkey.
Every site has a solar-powered electrical point for charging of electrical equipment, etc and free wood.
Very nice and peaceful campsites with lots of shade and directly on the river.
The staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful..
Went on a privately guided Mokolu boat safari, it really is the best way to experience the Kwando river in Namibias spectacular wetland
And if you’re feeling really adventurous why Mbezi can arrange horse riding in the wetlands.
Horse riding through the bush
Gets you up close and personal with wildlife whilst on horseback.

Mbezi Camp is a very nice place well managed and maintained. Geoffrey knows the area very well and helped us explore the Kwando River. The camp is by the river adjacent to the Bwabwata National Park. The park has plenty of wildlife. The nice thing about the camp is that by staying there you are supporting Orphan Kids with their studies and other basic needs.

It's a real nice Camp. The track to rich here is a bit narrow for big rigs, but we got it with our Bullnose. 200 pppn

Price has gone up 200 pppn N$.. got a visit from hippo at 1am .. it was right next to our camper grazing ferociously for 15 minutes.. saw footprints around camp in morning .. great place just don’t expect too much on electricity part as it’s a 12 v solar battery

What a wonderful surpise! Beaven received us at the reception with a big welcoming smile and offered all the information about this lovely place. We were given campsite 6. Price at N$120pppn. Highly recommended!

The price is still 120pppn. Very beautiful and simple campsite. Camping 6 is the most beautiful, grass and shade under big trees. All the camping spots are on the river. We could see various antilopes and hear a resident hippo. It is possible to pitch your tent inside the hut. The owners are very welcoming. They are planning to build a bar on the small island in front of the camping. Recommended.

Lovely natural camp right on the water. Extremely friendly staff. They provided a mokoro for us to use to pole through the water ways. Absolutely wonderful. Heard hippos all night.

Idyllic place! Very nice management. Rate is now 140 NAD pppn.
To get there you have to defy a bad road but a 2wd is okay.
Highly recommended: guided boattrip of an hour in traditional canoe for only 70 pp.

Absolutely amazing!!!!! Allan (Allen?) is incredibly friendly with a good sense of humour and we felt super welcome. Gorgeous place with beautiful views over the wetlands. The sites are huge and very private. Very nice boiler style donkey with big capacity that they lit immediately for us upon request.

120 pp per night, amazing value for money compared to the other overpriced sites around. Don't skip this one!!! Muuuuch nicer than the other site up north (Kwando camp), which we checked out first.

We had the furthest camp from the entrance (no 6), which is huge, and open on one end, and has higher trees than no 5. But all sites are beautiful.
