Description

There is another review if this spot that’s closer to the zoo. This is up the street closer to sequoia park. This spot is just before the sequoia park sign and diagonally from the eureka waste treatment plant.

I’m gonna tell you right now, it’s exposed on the street parking that gets noisy first thing in the am, it dies down about 10pm but during the day…it’s car noise!

The best place to park is actually (during the day) at sequoia park. The park itself is lush, green, and beautiful, it’s a fab morning walk. 7 or 8 am move your van and then go enjoy the park until dusk, then go park back on the street.

There are 2 bathrooms on either side of the park, and 4 water fountains where you can refill your water jugs. I slept here for 4 nights and literally no one bothered me.

Nice street spot. We stayed here, the marina lot, and the Target spot. This one felt the safest and had the least homeless people. Marina felt the least safe.

We also accidentally didn’t close our side door all the way and our van was unlocked all night. Realized in the morning.

The park is very nice and you have the bathrooms during the day.

Stayed here with no issues on a Monday night. Very clean nice bathrooms and a great water fill station! Some noise from teens at the park but died down by 9. Loud in the morning from the zoo and dogs at the park around 7

Fine street parking for a night. The park is lovely. Had two other vans parked by us, and had one car speed by with a loud honk for each of us. The diagonal parking on the south end looks like it would be slightly quieter but there is one No Parking Dusk to Dawn sign we almost missed

they locked the bathrooms at night, I asked one of the park workers if they would leave a bathroom unlocked for the van lifers and they said yes, so hopefully, there will be an unlocked bathroom for y'all

slept in the parking lot for the park instead of in the street itself and had a better sleep, wasn't bothered by cops. YMMV, since there is a sign saying that lot is only dawn till dusk.
