Something not right?

Description

Lots of camping beyond Phil's trailhead. Drive down past where paved road ends. I went right at the fork and had no issues with my 2WD promaster. Good for small RV's and tents. There are some larger spaces that may work for larger RV's. Verizon and T-mobile worked in the spot I was in. 10-15 minute drive into Bend

Road CLOSED. Might just be a seasonal closure??

Report Check-In

Lots of RVs and vans right when you pull in. Kept driving to see what I could find and eventually came across a nice flat spot. 1-2 bars Verizon service 3 bars TMobile internet.

Great dispersed camping in my 25ft class C if you can’t find a spot in the gravel lot go right at the fork instead of straight as it gets very narrow with deep sands. Lots of vanlifers and great people. Very clean for the amount of people here :)

Report Check-In

So many spots to camp. Close to town. Lots of spots at the top of the trailhead.

Report Check-In

This is an absolutely gigantic complex of roads and camping spots. Once you get past Phil's trailhead day use area, you go through a gate and are greeting with a giant parking lot. Going left past the parking lot leads to good spots close together, and to the right leads to a few dispersed spots. The roads go further in the woods both ways, there are so many more spots tucked back in the woods that I didn't see. We didn't explore all the roads, but I bet there are over 200 spots to camp at.
We are in a 35ft skoolie and had no issues driving these roads. The first bit of paved road is the worst driving we had to do.

Good AT&T service if you park at the initial area or to the sites to the right. Otherwise we had somewhat spotty connection.

Awesome dispersed camping off a dirt forest road that’s in good shape. Lots of fire pits (check burn warnings first) and lots of big trees. Was accompanied by car campers, skoolies and vans. Very clean, let’s keep it that way!

This place is a gem! Endless bike trails and loads of camping pull-out spots beyond that gravel lot. Stayed for 2 nights with no issues.

Report Check-In

There is a lot just after the phils trailhead. Decent Verizon signal and one bar AT&T. There are probably 10 other vans out here.

Report Check-In

There is endless camping here beyond the gate to the left of the parking area. There have been petitions to close this gate and this area is at risk due to the trash and overstaying 14 day welcome. Please drive slowly on forest roads, pick up trash you see and abide by the forest regulations. The area is incredibly clean currently, if you stay keep it that way.

Report Check-In

Quite spot on forest service road close to biking trails about a 15min drive from town. There is no camping at the trailhead but if you continue past there is a gravel lot that you can park overnight. If you continue down the dirt road there are many pull offs you can camp at with man-made fire pits.

Report Check-In

There are “no camping” and “day use only” signs posted. Camp at your own risk

As described, tons of spots and super quiet. Lots of people walking their dogs and running/biking. Stayed here two nights and felt safe. Forest Service Ranger visited me the second morning and told me that they close the gates on 11/30 for the winter. Also bring your own TP, the bathrooms at the nearby trailhead were out.

This is a great find and it’s just 10 minutes from downtown Bend. There were tons of vans and school buses parked, but we just kept going on the dirt road. Found a great spot and no one around.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. we found it while biking at Phil's trailhead, but came back to it driving back through Bend after dark. Easy to find space and people are friendly.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot. We have stayed here around a week. You are allowed to stay for two weeks but no one is checking. Pit toilet a 5 minute walk up at Phil’s trailhead.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet place to stay the night this is our second visit. lots of hikers and mountain bikers throughout the day. More people camped here this time around but very pieceful!

Report Check-In

Easy to find and had 2 bars for ATT. Lots of people and different types of campers in the space. Was able to find a spot though. 2WD can definitely get here.

Report Check-In

A lot of people, but I found a spot pretty quickly.

Report Check-In

Lots of space. Super quiet and dark. Popular bike path. Go back a ways for privacy. Road bumpy but ok. Go slow please to keep down dust.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay, lots of space and really quiet in the Forest. We use Google Fi as our network and we have two bars. We would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

This place is 1. huge (the whole forest area basically) and 2. definitely not a secret. We visited on a Monday evening, came in late and had to drive around for 40(!) min to find a spot! So crowded, don't expect privacy. Nevertheless nice in the forest and even enough signal to call the family abroad via WhatsApp Video(T-mobile).
