Something not right?

Description

Possible to sleep in gravel parking lot. Park closes officially at 11pm, but gates were not closed. Police made a round around 9:30pm and did not bother us. Popular location in morning for dog walkers, very quiet during the night you can hear the waves. Beautiful fine sand and clear water. No signs regarding overnight parking. Pit toilets could be cleaner, and might be difficult to be level.

The barrier was closed. So we stopped on a small parking lot in front of the barrier.

Waren am 07.03.2024 da. Der große Parkplatz war noch geschlossen. Konnten auf einem kleinen Spot parken und verbrachten eine ruhige Nacht.

Quiet spot on beautiful beach. Slept one night here.

Arrived at midnight. At 1am, the cops came over to inspect my car. I was half asleep…they just shone their lights in on me and then decided I wasn’t worth the hassle…so they left.

Still not sure why they didn’t make me leave. There are no signs preventing camping, and to be fair there’s a housing crisis in Halifax so maybe it was a pity thing.

Slept great 👍

Arrived 7:00 pm to see 9 cars & 1 pickup camper; by 9:00 only camper. Incredible clean, sandy beach. For boondocking, couldn’t ask for more.

Very nice view. Few people came in the night, no one bothered us. I recommend this spot!

Nice and quiet place. No one cared, and no one bothered us.
Scenic, Beach access, nice.
Some local folks in the evening, left at about 8:00pm. Partying might be a problem here in summer.
When you get here, you might want choose the second parking lot a few hundred meters up the road. Might be more level and quieter concerning other visitors, but we didn’t check it out.
