This location is the entrance to Hartman Rocks and the "base camp" area. There is no camping in this specific location, but Google kept trying to route me through a nonextistent road nearby so make sure you enter here.
Hartman Rocks is a well-known area used by trail runners, hikers, dog walkers, mountain bikes, dirt bikers, and 4x4 enthusiasts. You can camp for free at the 50-ish established campsites, each of which have a marker and sometimes a fire pit or a picnic table.
Be aware that, while beautiful, nearly all of the sites are located right on various trails or trailhead parking and you will likely have (friendly) company, especially on weekends.
There are vault toilets at the base camp, and some additional pit toilets and porta potties scattered around, but most sites are not near a toilet.
There is excellent Verizon coverage at most locations.
Your best bet is to use satellite view in Google maps for navigation. Be aware that if the road is marked 4x4, they really mean it. Some roads not marked 4x4 ought to be, so be cautious if you're in a low clearance or longer vehicle. Many roads are narrow and have limited locations to turn around.
I'd encourage iOverlander users to add locations of specific campsites by their name/number and include road conditions so future visitors have an easier time finding the spots.
Happy camping!

This is a good entrance for mountain biking day use but not for camping. The road to campsites is 4wd only and will shake your rig apart. Use the Riverway entrance out County 32 to McCain farm entrance and follow Road 3500 to campsites. Stop at the entrance kiosk display for a map of campsite locations you can photograph. The paper map does not show campsites.
