For the fellow cyclists following the TransEcuador; this is a big covered field (domo) to shelter from the rain or to camp. Inside the field there is an elevated room (stairs) where there are sockets (that work!) to charge stuff. The whole are has free wifi so if you need to stop here either for lunch, shelter from the rain or to camp; this is a good stop. enjoy!
There are bathrooms and a water spigot just behind one of the buildings. The folks around great super kind and said people have camped here before.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I arrived as a lone cyclist.
Good shelter.
Toilets (not the cleanest ;P ) and running water.
The elevated sheltered balcony was closed, and the local people I met didn’t have the key (probably the president of the community has).
So, no electricity. Also, the wifi did not work.
In case of strong rain, the north-east quarter of the field will be flooded, and part of north-west.
Southern side keeps dry (but very iluminated).
Llegué como un ciclista solitario.
Buen refugio.
This place remains as described by previous posts. Nice spot and safe and epic ride to get there from both directions. It is very lit up at night, fyi.
Report Check-InVery big space. Very safe. Plugs to charge stuff and water next to the church to wash dishes. The place is abandoned - or looks a lot like it is. The road leading here is marvelous ! We left some firewood for the next hiker/Biker coming :)
