Perfect secluded spot with beautiful creek sounds and large rock! Level for car camping but might be tough for tents because there are lots of rocks on the ground. Would be fine with an air mattress I think. Saw a herd of elk when we took a drive to Lake Pillsbury for a picnic lunch. There was a makeshift rock fire pit for campfires.

Enjoyed boondocking this area for 2 nights in June. There's evidence this area would be inaccessible during high water and/or dam release events. I'd recommend a high clearance vehicle as the road and dry river bed has some good sized rocks but a skilled or careful driver should be fine.
Report Check-InThere was a mud pit and small running river to cross on the path to get to this site today and we ended up backing all the way out. It would be worth walking this trail before driving out there to see if you can make it.
