Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Pronounced Chonga farm. Quiet place at the lake. Spend one night self sufficiently and left a donation.
Report Check-InStill no ablutions :) but a lovely and quiet spot for a sleep over!
Report Check-InIf you are looking for a beautiful stop close to Chiseksi this is the place to be. The campsite at Ngoma Farm are no usual pitches. Embedded in a completely natural surrounding at a beautiful lake you can choose your place where ever you like to stay on this very big farm area. Because there is no ablution block (also no water, electricity) it will be good if you are autark. However, if you are self-contained, it is a beautiful and peaceful place where you can stay for a few days, instead of using it only as a stop over for one night.
Mr. Cornwell, who owns this farmland, visited us in the afternoon and is lovely and friendly host who made us feel very welcome. We stayed there with our big Mercedes Sprinter 6x6 and we loved it and would have happyli to stay longer, if we had'nt had a reservation the next day at Lake Kariba.
Still very friendly and very quiet, still no ablutions, so just a grassy spot with a pretty view over the lake.
We gave a donation, no money was asked of us.
very nice relaxed spot at the lake and lovely people around - especially Mr. Cornwell and his family
Report Check-InSuper endroit au bord du lac...
Aucune commodité, que la nature
Merci iOverlander.....!
Se presenter à la ferme pour rentrer sur la propriété..
Nous avons été accueilli par la fille de Mr Cornwell et celui ci a son retour est venu voir si tout allait bien
Donation au bon vouloir....
Indeed beautiful spot, with many birds. We were welcomed by one of the guys working at the farm. Peaceful and very friendly owner. Mmm
Report Check-InStill a fantastic spot. Mr. Cronwell wasn’t around but his sweet daughter welcomed us warmly.
This truly show how amazing iOverlander works! Would never have found this place and this nice people without!
Report Check-InWe stayed at Mr. Cornwell's farm for one night, and it was wonderful. A very simple stay, could camp anywhere and walked with him to pick a spot amongst the hay bales. Walked around the dam in the morning and met the gardener building a new veggie patch. Great place to stay, bring own water and food.
Report Check-InWe stayed there for one night and were astonished by the beauty of the place! While camping there we felt as if we were in the middle of a savannah, as the field was not cut yet. Amazing view over the lake and a great place to relax for one or two nights if you can take enough food and water with you. Mr Cornwell and his family were really nice and told us we could pitch our tent wherever we wanted. Mr Cornwell also kindly came to check on us once in the evening and in the morning. Totally recommend this place! Hope it will really become a campsite sometime. As said before by others, small donation appreciated.
Report Check-InEverything is sayed. We spent the night on the other side of the lake,so you have a beautiful sunset 😉
Report Check-InAll as stated below. Very friendly owner who has 150 ha of ground close to the lake. You can camp anywhere on his land. There is still no progress of making it to a campground and probably will never become an official campsite either. We gave him a small donation and even that is not neccessary.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay! About 15 minutes from the main road you will meet a very friendly mr. Cornwell who speaks good English. You can camp anywhere on his farm but the lake is very nice. No shower and toilet yet, but he told us he is definitely making work of it. More visitors will encourage him to make it an even more beautiful campsite. Since there are no facilities a donation is appreciated.
