South Africa
Municipal Campsite with corresponding quality. Big grassy camp with trees and shade. A bit rundown ablution but hot shower, power points and toilets are working. Acceptable cleanliness.
The big advantage is the proximity to the Big Hole touristic complex at 200 or 300 meters walking distance.
Paid 238 rands for 2 pensioners and one motorhome.

Its was technically open when we went there at 4pm BUT the 2 employees that welcomed us were also leaving and they told us that the security guard will come at only 6pm and that we shouldn't stay there alone, because it was not safe. They in fact asked us to leave and come back at 6 when the guard will be there... They were very worried about us. The whole situation seemed very weird and sketchy to us so we decided to leave town (in winter, the vibes were not amazing in the city anyway...).
Even if we forget about that whole weird conversation, the camping doesn't feel very secured : fences are low, no razor blade wires or electric fences on top, and it seems super easy to climb over. Quite loosy goosy as its located in the middle of the -very poor- city... We unfortunatly cant recommend this place.
This place is reopening. It was closed during Corona and same maintenance work.
