Good spot to stay in Tabriz and meet other travelers. The place is very quiet and the center is 10 minutes away by taxi (very cheap)

Report Check-In

Good and safe place to camp. Water through some taps at the parking lot. The water pressure is somewhat weak if water filters are installed in front of the tank. Good subway connection (Dagestan station) to get to the city center (Meydan e Kohan). Access to the subway via the old shopping center that is built right next door across the street. Free camping.

Report Check-In

the English teacher Mr. Reza is a thief!!! please run away! He makes a very big margin on his help services and exchanges the money for a ridiculous price. all this in lies.

Report Check-In

Very nice and calm spot. English teacher comes after five minutes. We change money at him. You need a copy of your passport. Metro nearby. If you are in Tabriz please go to Alis shop (you find this place on Google maps). He invited every tourist for tea and was the cutes person on our hole trip. He is very happy when tourist visited him.

Report Check-In

We stayed there for 2 nights for free. The parking is very calm and the guy at the front door asks us a copy of our passeports.
He called his friend that was there to help us changing some money or take us to visit the city and buy Sim Cards if you need it.
Toilets are available if you need it but we’re not very clean.

Report Check-In

Please do not use the service of the "English teacher". You can manage everything on your own(even when you’re not an experienced traveler). Now that we are in Iran for the second time, we realise how much he ripped us off!!!! Download a translation app and ask around town.

We were already relatively uncomfortable the first time we used his service. Now it just confirmed how much he ripped us off.

Be well prepared with offline apps for navigation and translation. Also at least 2 VPN.

Then it runs wonderfully
Have a great time in Iran - it’s a wonderful country.

The place to sleep was great!

Report Check-In

Forgot to mention:
English teacher was with us for about 3 hours (Simcard and money exchange) and he expected his fee to be 30 EUR (we are three cars, so 10 EUR per car). We gave him 15 EUR in total and he was so so about that.

Report Check-In

Park as described. Very quiet end of October. No locals around. We slept at 10pm :-)
English teacher arrived 5mins after we parked. Looks like he gets informed by the park warden. We used his service to get SIM card and to exchange money. With his „help“, we got a Simcard which was more expensive and has less GB than the ones mentioned in the comments of the Irancell headquarter. And the money exchange rate we got with his help was worse than the one we got by ourselfes. Money exchange: almost every jewellry exchanges USD/EUR into IRR.

Can be very busy on public holiday. The Iranians arrive after 10/11pm and it gets packed. During the week there is less frequency.
English teacher is still there. He took picture of my car when I was at the city and suddenly ran into me at the small passenger bridge near the cafe.
Running water and Iranian style toilets.
Showers out of order.
There are fire places to have a bbq or make a tea etc.
Guard asked for passport copy (really a copy. He cannot do the copy himself) but due to public holiday I could stay without delivering one.
Two other German cars with Iranian temporarily number plates did not have to bring the passport copy if I understood right.

Report Check-In

excelente spot to spend the night. some locals uses the place for picknick or spend the night here.
the spot is clean, the toilets are just like Iranian still, showers still out of order. the English teacher is still here, he comes to us and did no wanted to go until we strongly said to hen we need to be leaved alone.
Spending the night ist free, the security guy only asked for a passport copy.

Report Check-In

As described. Park open, Showers still not working, English Teacher comes to check.

Report Check-In

Also open during winter. Showers are not working.

Report Check-In

Nice and quite place. Easy to get into town by subway just opposite the street (walk through the big building next to the park - it's also a bridge). You can buy single tickets.
Showers closed, but water and toilet open.

Nice spot for exploring the city and meet fellow overlanders. Toilets okish. English teacher check.

Report Check-In

The retired English teacher, Reza Falak, is quite intrusive, but leaves you alone if you ask him energetically. I'll a photo with bis data.
We had no locals campers, but a group of Dutch-Belgian campers.
Rest as described.

Report Check-In

Good opportunity for camping. Showers and toilets work. sometimes there are problems with the water pressure. There are a lot of local people with tents at the campsite. So it's a great opportunity to talk to these people and eat together. The pushy english teacher aka tourist guide is still there. You do not need him, unless you really have a serious problem. We have added two Sim Card stores on the map.

Report Check-In

Great facility, free showers and toilets, friendly Iranians staying. Packed to capacity with people turned away both nights we were here.
Also we were unaware until after we'd set up our tent that it isn't allowed to camp on the grass, I guess there's signs up in Farsi.
We were also warned not to leave our phones unattended while charging them (after leaving them unattended for several hours) and that it was probably better to camp closer to our motorcycle (despite the very friendly atmosphere there). We had no issues though at all and met a lot of lovely families eager to share and talk as in all of Iran.
We were not asked for passport copies either night but on leaving saw that locals had handed in IDs.
No sign of the "English teacher"

Good place to stay in Tabriz, close to the city center. Copy of passport is still required. Hot shower available.

Report Check-In

Nice, safe, clean parking ground. Quite central. 100.000IRR for a taxi to the Grand Bazar.
Toilets and showers could be cleaner, BUT: parking is for FREE! So there‘s nothing to complain about.

Regarding the „English Teacher“: nothing new to say about. Pls read the comments of the other travelers.

+ We marked a place in the centre (close to the bazar), where you can buy an Iranian SimCard. So you don’t need the „services“ of the „English Teacher“. :)

Report Check-In

Great spot in the city. Nobody asked for passports. They opened the gate for us and didn’t bother us afterwards. The HOT showers are behind the toilets (Same building).
Oh and yes the teacher guy came to us as well. Told him we know about him and he should leave us alone. He left after telling him this 3 times.

Report Check-In

In wintertime it is a great place to stay. Very central and quiet. The showers were open and hot. Some restaurants and a good coffee shop on the way to the metro.

Report Check-In

Is this the most checked-in iOverlander spot in Iran 😝? Everything was as described. Really nice spot! Very quiet in december.

There’s a shopping mall with food court (coffee, pasta, pizza and burgers), copy shop and coffee shop close by. It’s across the mainstreet at the base of the tall tower to the right, 5 mins walking.

Report Check-In

Great place, near the metro station.
Reza would be very helpful if you need insurance, Sim card, cash or even a visit. Feel free to call him if needed +98 936 282 9846.

Report Check-In

As described, nice place to stay and metro station is near (ask in the mentioned coffe-shop if you dont find the entrance to the metro) - „english-teacher“ is still here but if you let him know in a friendly way that you don‘t need any help, he won’t disturb you.

Report Check-In

Additional Comment.
The "english teacher" is really a guide and an expansive one.

For sim advise or supermarket, prefer asking all the many locals camping here.

Quiet place, much shadow, really appreciated.

Report Check-In

Describes as other people say.
Good way to met local people, very friendly.

Report Check-In

Perfect place to explore Tabriz. Metro Station an Bus to the center nearby. Hot shower and friendly locals.

Report Check-In

Great place and as described above.
The “English teacher” is actually a tour guide, who helps with insurance (approx. 550.000 for 1 month motorcycle) and local SIM cards (10GB for 1 month for also 550.000) He walks with you to the offices - the insurance office is close by. For the SIM card he takes you to the city center to a shop (later on I found at least one office closer to the camping) On the way (walking) he explains historic places - if one wants or not.
For some it might be handy to have a tour guide, for me it was of little use I already knew most of the information he gave.
Though I told him several times that I don’t need any tour guide, he stayed with me. It was a little bit challenging to get rid of him.

In the end he guided me to a restaurant close to the sim office (later I learned that he is well known to the restaurant owners and doesn’t have to pay for the food there as he does bring many foreigners)
I gave him 50.000 for his (unrequested) services (that he considered very little)

If you are new to Iran he might be helpful. If one is an experienced traveler who is used to organize trips on oneself, you have to judge his services for yourself.

Park is as described. Shower was cold during our stay.

Report Check-In

great place, lots of place, green park, toilets not very clean but will do. First day only cold showers, evening of second day steaming hot water. Register with the park guide, he asked for copy of pasport/visum

Report Check-In

Great place to stay, major overlander spot in Tabriz. Yes, the english teacher will approach you too... don't miss the Café Bar as described. Friendy staff and descend WiFi connection.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet this time of year. Easy BRT bus to city from across the footbridge over the main road. If you cross the main road via the big building with escalators right next to the campsite, there is a western style coffee place downstairs on the other side with free wifi.

Report Check-In

Great quiet spot at this time of year! We stayed three nights and the shower was working fine: a lot of hot water for as long as we liked! Only minus toilet and shower weren't cleaned, but still ok to use. English teacher came by two times.

Report Check-In

Perfect place to stay for a few nights. Toilets were fine but the showers had no water. Watch out for friendly English teachers who wants to charge you money for being a tour guide.

Report Check-In

Excellent place, only for tourists (also Iranian). So always room. Cleaner than other parks. Showers are cold most of the time.

We had dinner with Iranian families on both nights. And most also want to see your car, etc. So sometimes a bit difficult to have some privacy...

Report Check-In

Great meeting point for Overlander. Save parking, toilets & shower available.

Report Check-In

Nice place with a green park, no fees
thanks for the tip

Report Check-In
