Other BLM sites close-by were full. We met Park Rangers who told us about this site 4 miles up the road. It is on a beautiful lake and very quiet. $15 / night for camping, to be deposited on an envelope.

Nice beach for swimming in the summer, 2 bars of internet on Google Fi. The 4 camping spots were hidden during the day by way too many cars parked everywhere on a busy sunday afternoon, but I just waited until they were gone and shared the beach with one other camper. The road to get here is very narrow and winding, it would be scary to come with a large rv, but there were 2 here during the day plus many boats on trailers and they just get through the narrow road with some luck. there are pit toilets but no water. 15$/night for camping.

Great view, decent road, nice fishing, pets onleash. Pretty busy on weekends, especially day use.
