Once you enter this parking and go on the left side, there is a place to turn around for longer rigs. We then continued backwards to continue along the path. Lots of big free spaces. If you walk to the end of the path, on the left again, there is a small path between the bushes that brings you up on the street just between Mint Museum and Beaux-Arts Museum. Nice and quiet spot with great view over the bridges and river.
.....
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Lots of construction in the area. Not possible to park there for the time being.
Report Check-InSigns posted saying no parking permitted after Feb 1 2023. not sure if permanent or not.
Report Check-InDid not stay overnight, but had opportunity to drive by and check it out. It is not big rig friendly anymore as there is a gate at the end that is closed. you must be able to turn around in the width of a narrow street. Great for camper vans. not for motorhomes or trailers.
Report Check-InSlept one night and weren’t bothered. Nice spot along the road with view of the river and Gatineau side (there is currently a construction fence, but you still see very well). The National Gallery’s back access is at the end of this road, and when they are closed it will be hard for a big rig to turn around, since you can’t use their parking lot. There is a path on the left hand side of this gate/fence that is super useful; it brings you to the National Gallery and at the corner of Sussex/Murray, towards downtown.
Report Check-InGreat spot downtown, very close to food ,shopping and parliament hill.
Abit of city noise but it to be expected with the location , a couple other RVs and lots of space
Great spot for the night , nice vista of the river and very short walk to down town, food, parliament hill.
Report Check-InKids in cars with flashing lights partying and playing loud music all hours of the night. Very loud and obnoxious. Not a good spot to overnight. It was almost like they knew I was there because they spot in the earlier coming in and decided to come back in a passive aggressive way to harass me. And this is on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning…..
Report Check-InGood place close to Ottowa downtown to stay for a night. In the morning lot of cars arrive to park, but not to loud and no problems.
Report Check-InNice quiet night stay right by Ottawa River. Busy during the day, plenty of parking spots at night. Weekend maybe busier. Saw one RV trailer parked in front of us.
