Special (no longer public) campsite close to the waterfalls. There are two sites close together. One is down a 900m track which can be muddy and slippery, especially when driving out.
Apparently neither site is public even though they are not listed on the KWS web so need a degree of clairvoyance. You guessed it, we had a bit of an argument with park staff on leaving.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This place is in wrong location - it is located at -0.46062, 36.71928
Report Check-InThere is an old sign at the main road and the track is quite rough and somewhat overgrown, but quite doable in a 4x4.
You will be rewarded by a lovely grassy campsite surrounded by mature trees.
We were visited by 4 Bush buck that came within a couple of meters from us.
No facilities so need to carry everything in (and out).
Public campsite close to the waterfalls. No facilities. Hyena’s and buffalo in the area.
