Nice level spot with room for one rig just below the summit of Cicero Peak in Black Hills National Forest. Beautiful views of southern portion of the black hills. There’s a a short hiking trail that starts from this parking spot. Two bars of Verizon LTE service that works well.
The road up to Cicero peak is rocky and rough. We made it up no problem with our AWD Ford Transit camper van. You may need 4WD if it’s been raining. Low clearance vehicle may have issues with rocks but generally the worst spots can be avoided with careful driving.

Very beautiful, and scenic. Can get great views in all directions will a brief hike.
Road was manageable for a 4x4 pickup with a truck camper. Would not recommend a low clearance car as there are many deep ruts throughout and a few switch backs. Was fairly dry and not muddy, just rocky.
I took the lower spot, could definitely fit a tent/car camper at the tower spot and still be separated
Report Check-InBeautiful view. Honda CRV pulling teardrop. Would recommend for anyone with more clearance. Had a trail going down the hill. Was breathtaking.
Report Check-InThat accent was insane. Made it in a ram 1500. If there’s even a chance of rain I wouldn’t attempt to make it. This road is a good way to need a new alignment. But once you’re there at the top. Dang it doesn’t beat much else. It would also suck to make that whole climb up and the two spots be taken.
Report Check-Inroad is rough but made it in a Winnebago travato promaster front wheel drive with no lift. Amazing views can even see The Badlands through binoculars.
