Description

Very nice and cosy place to get super rich breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a coffee. In addition you can find complete touristic information about the region. Wilma and Enzo will welcome you with open arms. For us, it's been the perfect place before crossing the Salar de Uyuni on bicycle.

We had a breakfast here. Very generous and delicious (only regret is that we did not have a pancake). 20 Bolivianos per person. In our visit, we had to prevent the day before we arrived. NB, We are traveling by bike and this meal was perfect. We talked with the doyan, friendly, and she was good advice for the crossing of the salar of Uyuni.

Nice indeed! Although probably not as iconic and must-go as the reviews suggest. Other comedors in town don’t have a pin yet they’re amazing places too, more authentic, so if this restaurant is closed when you’re in Salinas, don’t worry!

We ask her the night before when she would be open in the morning. She said 8:30 or 9. Knowing this, we slept in, instead of packing up our tent and beginning to cycle at 7. We showed up at 9:30 and it was closed.

What’s the point of telling us you will be open at 8:30-9, if you’re not actually going to be open? 0 stars, terrible way to start the day. We could have already been cycling on the salt flat by now.

Was excited looking at the all the reviews on here and Google but found the portion sizes to be small, especially the llama steak. Friendly people and nice location though.

We had a nice dinner, but the best was the breakfast. For the hungry cyclists that we are, it was so nice to have both quantity and quality, all of it while listening the stories of the owner.

We came at about 4 o'clock. We were the only guests. They cooked us a fine 3 course (vegetarian) menu. The host was warmly but already "excited", since a 5-day folk festival in the village begins tomorrow. Before it got dark, he guided us to an overnight stay outside the village (separate entry, mineral water spring). Highly recommended. Attention: very narrow roads. Big rigs have to park about 300m away.

very nice place. Enzo, the owner, told us a lot of stories and the food was nice.

This is the friendliest place, a must visit to eat! I arrived on my bicycle and had a great dinner - llama steak or burger with salad and fries. It was so good I came back for breakfast which was a generous array of coffee/tea, eggs, tomatoes and olives, bread/jam. The owners Enzo and Wilma run a family place and it has photos of travelers who have visitors before or after exploring the Salar. They also let me around their courtyard to clean the salt off my bike after my ride. Incredibly friendly folks, and delicious fresh food, can’t recommend this spot enough!

Still as wonderful as the descriptions before this one. Generous owners with equally generous meals. Let us wash up our bikes and charge our electronics while we spent the day hanging out here to recover from riding the flats.

We had a rest day in Salinas and ended up having 5 meals here. Wilma is super sweet and made sure we could get back on our bikes with lots of energy from the delicious vegetarian food.

We had a tasty and filling dinner (main course (meat/veg), dessert and a glass of wine for 30bob/pp) at Tambo Salinas and came back the next for a coffee. Enzo is a great host with great knowledge about the region and enjoys sharing it.
