Highly recommended! Perfect place for overlanders in Panama, no matter if you need help, have questions or have do do maintenance, repairs, storage in Panama and shipping. Fantastic people with overlander blood in their bodies! So helpfull!
And everything at a reasonable pricing!

As we were starting our journey in Panama we communicated with Overland Embassy prior to the trip and were greeted by the friendly owner and his team upon our arrival at the Embassy. They helped us with a lot of paperwork and we stayed a few nights on the campground while prepping for the road. Everyone is friendly and willing to help with all kinds of wishes and questions regarding your travels or translating matters.

They handled all the complicated logistics for shipping my truck and made the process very easy. I stayed at the campground for a week while waiting to load my truck. They are constantly working on improving the camping area. The bathrooms are complete, they said they were going to work on the tent camping area next. Highly recommend them to handle all your shipping needs.

The Overland Embassy is definitely one of the best places for Overlanders who either want to ship their vehicle or have other concerns, needs or wishes. It doesn't matter whether you booked your shipment here or not, Alejandro and his team will definitely welcome you. They work together with a great car-mechanic right next door that makes fixed prices for your projects and can do almost anything, you can have parcels sent to their office (ask beforehand, this is done via an address in the USA), there is a small, nice campsite right between the office and the mechanic site, where you“ll meet a lot of other overlanders and Alejandro, himself a huge Overlander and racing fan, will help you with all your questions and needs. Contact him - you will love him, his team, their service and the whole place!

We spent a couple of nights in Alejandro’s new campground about 150 meters from OE’s office. Lots of other overlanders and excellent access to everything you need to prepare for shipping or to get maintenance and repairs done before heading onward. The campground is currently under construction, but there is a nice bathroom and shower, there is power and potable water, and the site is safe, gated and level. Alejandro can help you sort out any issue you have!

The perfect spot in Panama City for the Viajeros!
Alejandro is a super nice person, who welcomed us in Panama after our stressful days crossing the car from Colombia!
At his place he had everything we could ask for! A great mechanic who did a great job on our Van, a safe place to park, sleep and the most important to organize all our stuff and a kitchen where we could cook since we were out of gas because we had to completely empty our bottle to put our van in the container!
Plus, clean and nice bathroom, shower, Wi-Fi and a lot of another travelers from all over the world to talk and share experiences!

Asked for permission to stay overnight - yes, no problem- just forgot that it was Saturday night, place is closed on Sundays. So we just stayed at the parking in front of the building, felt safe there, here a quiet night.

…we just want to add that there is a wonderful babysitter on-site. She is called Genesis and charges $10 an hour. We were able to enjoy a date night- first in 3&1/2 years! Don’t miss this opportunity- our daughter loved her!

As stated in all the reviews on the other iOverlander entry (with a star symbol), the Overland Embassy is a great organisation to help take all those shipping worries away. For just a little extra, Alejandro and his colleague in Colombia really do take care of the paperwork. Your briefing meeting with Alejandro puts your mind at ease and the RoRo instructions given (in our case- he offers bookings for container and air too) are precise and perfect. A great place to get all your repairs and fittings done too- Alejandro’s Dad fitted a brand spanking new window for us. Whilst the site welcomes all Overlanders (there is a shower, dining area, microwave, water filter, stove), may we remind you that the parking space is tiny. It has become a popular destination and therefore is a squash trying to fit your rig with all the others that are wanting work done. We stayed there two nights, but with a very curious little three year old who likes to tinker with all the tools, we soon moved into an Airbnb. All in all though, a great initiative offering an all inclusive care-free package- we’re now on the other side, our truck camper is in one piece and we would definitely do it all again with Alejandro and his family in Panama and Ana in Colombia. Thanks so much guys.
