This was a really find. Hot Showers are four quarters for 5 minutes, .25 cents for every additional minutes. Some sites have plugins.

Nice spot, quiet and peaceful. It is now $30 and $27 for seniors and vets. So, it is overpriced for a rustic, basic campground, but it is in the middle of the redwoods parks and I suspect that gets a premium.

Most of campground is not suitable for large trailers. We towed a 30 ft. in here and got lucky that site 20 on the main road was open. Got backed in the site and got out with a 2 point unhook when we left. The campground loop is tight and treed, so no good for trailers over 16 ft. I would guess. There are 2 big spots for trailers at the end of the main road just past the restroom (the 2 spots that are $10 extra). Once you get to the end of the road, however, there is no turnaround. From there, if the 2 large spots are open you could back into one of them and get out if needed. If the 2 spots are filled, you will be backing up the road and into the loop road to get out.

Pretty expensive for what it is. Good vibes and the camp host is super nice, so that was a plus. But for $30/night you get a disgusting bathroom and a gross coin op shower. Water was hot though which was nice. We had site 24 right by the water, but the “lagoon” is more of a smelly reservoir, don’t think it’s man made but looks like it. People were friendly and it was quiet and safe. Probably wouldn’t stay here again because of the cost.

Great campsite number 13 and a very private surrounded thick 10 ft hedge brush all around. Not far from restrooms and shower, but must have quarters for the shower. Little path that goes right to the lagoon near campsite.

Beautiful county campground. Showers were hot but more expensive than in the picture- still very reasonable. $1.00 for 5 minutes, $0.25 for additional minutes (or do $2.00 with a break in between for a free extra minute).

So peaceful. A few people running generators in the far side of the campground away from the bathroom. Personally think they shouldn’t be allowed since the place has hookups.

At least 5 sites for RV, the rest for tent. Very quiet at this time of the season. 2 sites with power and electricity for 10$ more per night.

Pretty much what everyone else has said.
It’s $25 per site/vehicle for the majority of sites with no power. Some sites at the end are right by the lagoon so make sure to drive all the way at the end. A few sites can easily accommodate larger rigs. But not recommend to go around the loop with a trailer because the trees are pretty close and the road is a bit narrow around some of them. There is also 2 site for moto/bike/hike tents (park on the side of the road). Coin shower. There is Flush toilets, but for some reason they had a bad smell (you could smell it from outside area) and they could use a bit of maintenance…
Was quiet almost all night, but some cars kept driving in and out during the night and very early morning.
It’s a nice location, but not as nice as other campgrounds.
Both rest areas nearby (going from south to North looked closed due to repairs on the ramp roads access.

Nice little state park. Host is a hippy and sells fire wood for a perfect price. Facilities are not the cleanest. You can also rent a kayak for some lagoon tour.

$25 a night. Van spots, a few spots for RV’s. I fit my 30 ft rv. Very beautiful and view of the ocean. 20 min from Redwoods.
Camp host was very nice.

I can only echo all the other positive reviews. Great place, kinda funky, not your typical state or federal campground.
Only about 6 other campers here currently.

Just arrived at 3 pm on a Saturday. Was able to score 1 of the 2 sites with power and water. We were just hoping for overflow area. 22 a night for Srs. 10 extra for power and 2 per dog. Sunny pretty day. hoping the wind dies down so we can take down the kayaks. Not good for big rigs but our Winn View is fine here. 1-2 bars of Verizon.

Cash only - first come first get - Small and simple campground. Pay-Showers and hose-able water with one bathroom. Overall awesome place close to the beach.

Like others have posted, rustic site with gorgeous views and activities to explore by a very magical feeling lagoon. First come, first serve. We passed by here last week on our way up to Oregon but it was full. Crossed our fingers for our return and got lucky. The sign at the entrance said full but we drove all the way in. Glad we did. Met Dude, the camp host, (his actual name!) and he said the rangers always leave the campground “full” sign out bc it’s such a popular place! There are 26 sites for staying, I believe, plus some overflow parking without hook up, picnic table, or fire pit. Up to 7 night stay. Check out by 1 pm. Really stoked about getting to stay here. Seniors pay $22/night/vehicle. Totally worth the cost to have a small, pretty, and tidy campground to enjoy. Dog-friendly, must stay on leash. We chatted with Dude quite a bit during our two-night stay and he says he is a volunteer for the county. In other words, he doesn’t get paid much except for free rent. Please tip him if you feel he was helpful and friendly.

If you are like us and did not make campground reservations 6 months ahead in one of the State Parks nearby this is your place to go. All first come, first serve. Some sites are better than others but location is great for exploring. While infrastructure is old bathroom/ shower is very clean. Actually the shower is amazing! Very friendly and helpful camp host. We were very satisfied and stayed several nights, switching sites as they opened up.
The lagoon is beautiful to explore via kayak, SUP, canoe and the beach is endless and amazing.

Loved this place. Campground isn’t fantastic, pretty primitive and old, but the location is special on Big Lagoon. We camped in our 28’ RV in “overflow camping” which is the gravel lot by the restrooms and camp host, and a trail down to the lagoon. There’s a coin shower and the camp host is really nice. $25.

Great spot to hang out or camp for the night. Fee station is at the end where restroom are. No showers for now but restrooms open. Make sure to have cash for fee.

Nice little county campground with a super chill camp host, “Dude”. It was $29 a night with our 2 dogs...why do they cost? We stayed 3 nights, the restrooms were cleaned daily. The shower was hot for $1 (10 minutes). You can hear the waves crashing from our campsite (#23), but no swimming, too dangerous, but plenty of kayaks and paddle boarding in the lagoon.

Decent little campground. Expensive imo considering the bathrooms & showers are a bit grubby.
Camp host on site. He sold us really wet wood ($7 a bundle) that even lighter fluid couldn’t burn, so be wray if you buy wood here.
Sites are competitive, you’ll want to get here before 5pm to grab one.
Nice sunset over the lagoon!

Spent the night truck camping here. Decent campground with good spacious sites in a forest. $25. Fine restrooms. Have not checked out showers. Dogs OK. Right along the lagoon. A quick walk to the ocean shore.

Right along the lagoon and quiet during the spring. Only saw two other sites occupied. Good cell service. Bathroom just fine. Have not checked out the showers. Cool temps along the coast but nice moody forest feel.

were in a Large RV and made pur way into here. only two hook up spots for power and water (extra $10 per night) and standard $25 per night fee. everything was pretty flooded and under water. really not great value unless good weather for beach access.

$25 a night. Bathrooms and showers(which we did not use) available. Fell asleep to the sound of massive shorebreak, an ornithologists dream. Wish we could stay, but circumstances require we seek free camping.

Mostly primitive camping (two sites have power and water for an additional $10/day). Campsites are $25/day. Right on the ocean. Mostly tenting sites, only two longer sites that are suitable for RV, they are the ones with power and water. Showers are coin operated and we have been told they are quite hot.

Love this place and view. The best spot #25 and clean ladies restroom. I didn’t use the shower, but looks clean too. The Camp Host, Dude is very friendly and if you need more information about this place or recommendations around this area just ask him. The best part very pet friendly and safe too.

Campground nothing special but lagoon is nice. Lagoon water calmer and warmer so kids and dog enjoyed playing in the water.
You can hear the ocean while sleeping and from campsite.
Bathroom has no soap but toilet paper.
There is a shower but it was locked so we cannot speak to that.
Potable water spigot.

Campground for tends and small RV's in an amazing forest right next to lagoon and beach. They have hot showers, toilets, firepits, no hookups.
