Something not right?

Description

This is a small pull off along Olympic Hot Springs Road that is large enough to fit one or potentially two vehicles. There are no private signs or any signage about' no camping'. There is a small fire ring, a path down to the river and what looks to be a homemade trail in the pull off area. Cars stopped driving by around 9:30 PM. It was peaceful and you can hear the river all night!

this spot is a nice pullout right next to the river. it's a pretty nice view and some bushes kind of hide half of it from the street. perfect for a night in this area. good service!! walk the little trail and you could maybe even swim?

Good spot for an overnight stay. We pulled in around 10pm after getting off the Port Angeles ferry. It’s nice and close to the river and some forest but is not very private from the road. Not many cars passed by though and nobody came to bother us!

Perfect over night spot. Only 15 minutes from the ferry’s to catch an early ferry over to Vancouver Island. Ditto….peaceful, tucked in the trees, sounds and views of the river all night long. Only the occasional car drove by.

Ah yeah nah yeah nah this is a good spot. We got a 35 foot skoolie in here, and if you did it right you could get another van in here too.

Super quiet road this time of year, although it is washed out up ahead so that might kill some potential traffic.

Good AT&T

Beautiful site on the river right off the road, but if you like privacy this ain’t it. Multiple people pulled into or walked right next to our equipment, to the point I saw a face outside my bedroom window one afternoon which no one wants. Super uncomfortable. One local even “checked in on us” like a camp host and reminded us there’s no fishing in this river (simply from seeing our Florida tag and fishing poles on the truck and not in use). Simple common courtesy doesn’t seem to exist here. We picked up the trash around the site.

Fine but previous reviews overrate this spot or it’s gone downhill. Random bits of trash around and close enough to road that traffic (which was minimal overnight) still fairly loud.

Much better option is the large trailhead parking lot (Madison falls?) about a mile up the road past this spot. Upper road washed out so no vehicles beyond that point, this is where backpackers leave their vehicles. Drove by in the morning and saw lots of evidence of overnight car/van camping.

Nicer views and ability to charge solar too at other spot.

Stayed here for a night, nearly no cars drove by, really quiet. There are two places level enough to put up a small tent. In the evening some kids came by to go down to the river. Good place not to far from Olympic National park.

Got here around 7:30pm, one other rig already here. Psycho lady came down telling us it’s private property (not hers though?) and caused a scene. Telling us about homeless and meth heads and yelling at us to leave now and that we were “scaring her”. There are no signs or mention of anything private, so we don’t know if she was just making it up or what. Be aware

A few pull offs, one is paved and flat. Path goes down to the river. So pretty & great AT&T signal.
