Very nice place to camp just outside the idylic town Sibayo (worth looking around!) alongside the river next to a picnic place. Downside: in the morning we woke up with loud speaker messages from the community. But maybe it's not every day.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We had a quiet and peaceful night here. A really beautiful spot on the river. But very cold at -5 degrees. Even if you do not stay here, you should visit this unique little village.
Report Check-InThe original described place is in the middle of a construction area at the moment, but there is plenty of other space right after the last houses and before the new arch. I adjusted the coordinates accordingly.
Report Check-InVery beautiful town. Great, level spot to spent the night. The GOOD THING: at least for us there were no loud speakers at 6am. None at al for that matter. Highly recommend this.
By the way: the toilets at the tourist information were still there but we didn’t use them for very, very obvious and stinky reasons.
Report Check-InFREE. No Facilities.
Exposed position on the riverbank, can be very windy. Not really suitable for tents. However, you can pitch in the lee of dozens of crumbling walls at north end of village.
Potable water and toilets next to tourist office. Small shops and restaurants in village.
No need for alarm clock - the mobile vendors broadcasts do happen every day at about 6 a.m. ;-)
