Description

Access for a vehicle on the edge of a wild page, Lake Huron. From Route 17 West, take a short 8 km loop via Route 538 West. As the path approaches the water, a small entrance will be to your left. Wonderful!

Lovely spot just off a very quiet road looking out on to Bootlegger’s Bay and the expansive sandy shore. Starlink worked here. Water is a bit mucky (full of mayfly hatch) but a few minutes on foot down the road heading West there’s another small clearing to get down to a cleaner, rocky section of water. Mosquitos were present but not that bad.

Report Check-In

One spot, just off of the road. Level close to road, or blocks maybe needed closer to water. 4bar LTE (Rogers). Had to place starlink on ground due to tree coverage in parking spot.
Good for a night, 100m down the road is a large area with great beach but, no overnight parking signs are posted.
(Second Photo is from restricted beach 100m down road)

Report Check-In

This area is posted no overnight camping under the Public Lands Act and enforced by Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

Great place and as it has been said, found a level spot quite close to the street. Almost no noise over night and no one at the beach. Even managed a quick dip in the lake last night. Mosquitos galore though so come prepared!

Awesome spot ! So quiet, so beautiful… the beach is super nice as well. Would have like to stay there several days :)

Gorgeous spot on the lake, nice and quiet at night. Full bars with Bell, less with Rogers.

Great stop! Only a handful of cars passing by and two people down the beach. Water was a little chilly but refreshing for a quick dip and the dog loved it! One of my favorite stops on this cross country trip so far. Peaceful and beautiful.

Good spot right at the water. Beautiful sunset. As already mentioned just a single spot. And there is a free little library on the way to the spot.

beautiful spot!! No "no overnight" signs here...there's "no overnight parking" on the entrance to the beach just before this pull off so if you see that just go back to the main road and take the next left. Pretty level closer to the road, we used leveling blocks so we could be away from the road more. A few cars went by at night but with the sound of the waves you can't even hear them. Such a nice spot, clean and warm water, and a beautiful sunrise.

Just a single spot off a quiet road, right by the beach. Better for a smaller van, but we had a nice night here in our RV and could get level by parking closer up to the road. People were having a party down the beach since it was a Friday night but nothing too crazy.

Splendide

Report Check-In

Parking tucked away off of a quiet access road. Scenic views of Bootleggers Bay. Terrific swimming and bird watching.
