Great spot along the road. Enough breeze to keep the mosquitoes away. Far enough away from the road to keep the dust away. Great views too
Report Check-Intook a short rest. Good place for the night too. Sheep seen on the slope.
haben eine kurze Rast gemacht.
guter Platz auch für die Nacht.
Schafe am Hang gesehen.
good spot for the night, lots of space, flat and quiet. we saw Dall sheep and wolves tracks in the sand around our campervan!
Report Check-InVery dry and hot. Lot of space. A bit dusty when it’s windy. No sheep but un falcon flew over us. In fact at km 158 just before the site there is a Gray falcon nest in the cliff! look for white trace from the guano.
Report Check-InThis was our favorite spot along the Dempster. Lots of camping options in the rocky river bed. We had hoped to see Dall’s sheep as others had mentioned seeing them in previous reviews of this location. We saw several, and one of them very close. Very cool.
We ended up staying at this location 3 nights. Once on the way up the Dempster and two nights on the way back south. We saw Dall’s sheep every day up on the cliffs and several times down in the dry river bed. There were baby sheep at this time of year and they were fun to watch. There is a river that runs along the bottom of the cliff and there are two overgrown roads that you can take to walk to the river. One night there were two other campers and a bicyclist with a tent that stayed in the area with us. There is plenty of room and it was a nice communal feel.
