Description

Public Parking lot between beach, Hotel Tybee and 14th and 15th street. Payment required and enforced between 8 am and 8 pm, $ 3,50 per hour, overnight free. Sign says “no RVs between march and october” - we asked a nice police officer: main concern is the noise from generators. But a class B, self-contained, making no noise, is no problem.
Place is safe, lit during the night, bathrooms open 24/7, an outside shower available (don’t take your bathing suit off, the hotel balconies offer front row seats :-) There were people coming and going to the beach all night, talking and shouting, some radio noise, so it was not very quiet but it is 4th of July-weekend, so probably more busy than usual.

Latest Check-Ins

Very nice place but the police came see us and ask us to leave. We can’t stay overnight.

Report Check-In

As described by the person below. I pulled in after sunset and no enforcement came by until the next morning - just leave by 8 ish and you'll be ok. The nearby pavilion and pier is open 10am-11pm and the parking lot washrooms are 24 hours and quite clean. Lots of dark spots in the lot for good sleeping, and a safe feel to the town even in off-season.
