Description

This is the Burundi drum sanctuary. We shoved up on Sunday just after 2 pm and got lucky as a tour was just starting. Negotiated the price down to 50000 franc pp. It is a very nice experience. Takes around two hours in total

Report Check-In

Visited with a large group (20 people) on overland truck. Arrived at 4:45pm and they did the performance for us for 15,000 per person which lasted for about 20 minutes.

Very worthwhile, definitely recommend! We arrived without pre booking at 4:30pm. We negotiated from 100USD down to 60USD for 2 people. All in all it took about an hour.

Very worthwhile! I'm quite cheap and I thought it was worth it and would happily go again.

You can contact Oscar in advance to arrange a visit (+257 61 90 54 64) or ask at the museum. At first they said 200,000 but we negotiated to 150,000. A visit should take 90 minutes.

Wow definitely worth a visit! It's not easy to get any information from surrounding hotels etc but we did find out that you should just be able to turn up at most times. We didn't pre-book. The guy at the museum told us it should be 150,000 for the whole group (6 of us) but when we arrived he said 200,000 for all. We negotiated back down to 150k. we were shown around the different huts and it was really interesting, before the performance which was incredible. At the end they will allow photos with them and encourage you to buy a few souvenirs (inexpensive if you bargain). Only one man spoke French who showed us around, no English spoken at all. Really worth it.
