Something not right?

Description

Right next to the road but a dirt track will take you behind a little hill so you'll be out of sight. Very Private. Nice view of the valley. We found lots of fossilized shells and coral.

Hidden from sight, more ore less sheltered from the wind, no traffic during the night and no dogs. Super quiet, great night sky. We just wish everyone would take their trash with them when they leave.

Had a fine time at this spot with beautiful sunset and sunrise. Super quiet. I’m not the most accomplished fossil hunter but I found a few.

Not the most idyllic, but good overnight spot. We had a quiet night in our pop-up roof, thanks to the little hill you barely hear the road. Nobody bothered us.

Report Check-In

good place, easy for a cyclist to hide behind the bushes. No one bothered me while I was there.

Again at this location. No shade, not visible from the street. Due to an emergency with our dog, we had to leave this place immediately.

Report Check-In

Police came round at 21:30h and asked for our passports. Took a picture with their mobile but said it is ok to stay for the night. Told us there is a town 50 km further south.

Kids (and big ones too) enjoyed looking for fossils. Lots of corals and shells in the rocks. Nice lunch stop with great view, Hidden from the road.

Nice view and some fossils, but not one tree... Very hot here! We found a place, about 12 km north, where the RP 14 meets Ruta 40. There you‘ll find some trees/bushes and near a river. Visible from Ruta 40 on some spots.

As henryreisen for another spot wrote: "it is not the yellow of the egg." But this spot is definitely one of the best in this section of ruta 40.

Definitely the best place for the area :) turn off is on the left if heading south...

good spot to break the journey, we only had a little wind but the rocks would provide some shelter. lovely sunrise.

there is nothing better around, but it is not soo good like it sounds just o.k. Late afternoon it was very windy. Nice landscape around.

a really nice place indeed - clean, wind protected, flat to park and a wonderfull view.

Close to the road, yet perfectly hidden. Beautiful view & sunset, marginal wind shelter from the rocks (depending on the wind direction). We felt safe.

very private indeed, but with a great view. I set up my tent on a flat sandy spot while bike touring. There are thorn bushes around.

We loved this spot! Plenty of space, hidden from the road, beautiful view, and OH MAN all the crystals and fossils in the crop of rocks were super cool!!! But the downside is the wind picked up heavily around 5 in the evening and all through the night. Our little car nearly got blown away haha

Its a quite place. You are alone and not visible from the street.

Great spot! Very private and protected, especially considering the landscape. Would work for tents too. Highly recommended for a night while passing though. We felt so comfortable here that we took showers outside in the buff!
