The road RP491 starts from from RN40 near Huaco via Villa Mercedes to San José de Jachal through La Ciénaga (south of coordinates here) is VERY COOL, but might be too narrow for big rigs. There's also a tunnel that's 3.5 to 4 meters tall, and washes on the road. Not sure how those would be when it rains.
It is a very beautiful, but narrow road. At some points the road only allows one car at a time, being max. 3m wide (although signs will say 4m.)

Beautiful road highly recommend drive! If you are living the luxurious life in a mega big rig or camper take note this road might be a bit narrow for you.

Report Check-InThe road is numbered RP491 to be correct, and has indeed a tunnel of limited height and width. It is a spectacular curvy road which we enjoyed very much! Roughly connects Huaco with Villa Mercedes.
Report Check-InDid not see a tunnel on the way to San Juan. The only thing we saw was driving underneath an overpass which was big enough for an big rig.
