Dispersed camping on Forest Service land. Fire ring. Space for 1-2 vans. About 30 yards off a quiet gravel road, hidden from view of the road.

This is a great camping spot! Easy to pull in to, nice fire ring, and plenty of space. Verizon is Not Good here, and it’s quite a challenge to get Starlink to work here with all of it trees. You can hear the highway but it’s not too bad. The bugs are very manageable if you use bug spray.
Report Check-InStayed here 3 nights while visiting pictured rocks lakeshore. Nice and quiet, some service Verizon and AT&T. Bugs but manageable with spray and nets. Lots of room. Had 3 tents a canopy and truck camper
Report Check-Inwe decided to look for a spot in this area after we saw the spot on lake superior on M28 just east of Christmas was completely full.
we stayed here and it was amazingly quiet with a decent fire pit built up. be warned that in late June/early July the bugs were miserable. even treated clothes and deet spray weren't keeping them away well. overall a great site.
Report Check-InI woke up at 1:30 in the morning to my dogs going absolutely crazy. Some man pulled in and was screaming at me to “come out and show my face” and that it wasn’t a campsite. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. It’s a very obvious campsite and well within the national Forrest. However, I would not feel safe staying here as a solo female traveler.
