Nice campsite, lovely fall colors all around, lots of places to hike from the campsite. Bit spendy at $40 a night (in a camper, no hook ups) but the laundry is pretty cheap and showers are good. An occasional bar with AT&T, the campground has wifi but don't count on it.

Report Check-In

Wow this campground has everything and hundreds of FCFS sites. Hardly anyone is here so we were able to snag a shaded site. 87°F and very breezy, so not too uncomfortable at around 8000ft elevation. Red Flag warning today through 9 PM. Hope campers know better than to start a fire today. Clean bathrooms with running water and flush toilets. Free WiFi, even in the campground, but weak. Free showers. Groceries and restaurant. Hidden gem.

Reservations on line. Lots of space, can choose our own non-serviced site. Pet friendly. Serviced sites all taken. Gas station in park - gas not expensive. Coffee, Pancake or burrito breakfast available from 7-10 am for around 9$. Very friendly staff. They let us in 1 hr before check-in. Many sites are a bit small, but big rigs could find a spot. Tent sites on separate loop.

Nice!
Good campground with toilets, wifi and a dumping point.
At that moment no fresh water, I guess still 'wintertime'.

no boondocking possibilities around Mesa Verde so ranger at visitorcenter told camping is 20$ off season price. great place, quiet and although showers were closed we stayed 2 nights put 2x20$ in envelop in front of campsiteloop, great place and startingpoint for scenic road to cliffdwellings ed

Nice view with the campground nestled into a wooded canyon. a little pricey at $37 a night though.

Report Check-In

After a hit day of hiking trails we decided to camp here rather than hit the road to find another spot. Not terrible but we only paid $18 with the access pass, not sure I'd pay full price. Campground is practically empty so we had our choice of spots and found one on the Hopi loop with some shade. A majority of sites have zero tree coverage so if you come during the summer prepare for heat. We have no cell signal even with the wiboost and the wifi is not working. Laundry and showers are before the campground with a large parking lot so I don't believe you need to be staying here to use them. Dump stations and potable water available.

5/10 site. 37 a night is pretty expensive for a np. It helps there’s free showers which are pretty nice and cheapish laundry open 24/7 but the sites are packed on top of each other in rv loops, vans might want to try tent sites. Sites also have no cover and nothing between them

Nice campground with picnic table & fire/bbq ring. Pay in envelope & deposit in lock box, $20 cash. Showers & laundry wahoo! Better than paying $55 outside the park.

Report Check-In

campsite open but not to capacity. Showers not free for visitors but inclusive for campers. At least showers working many not sites NP not. $37 a night

Report Check-In

Campground and most amenities closed for the season. No water available, flush toilets still open at visitor centre

I finally am camping here. The camp is beautiful. This is a bucket list campground.

As described. Good Wifi reception at our spot. For people with dogs: they have kennels here (17$ <4h, 25$ >4h) should you need them. Dogfriendly walking is possible at Wetherill Mesa.

Free showers! What a gem! We didn't camp here but it's no problem to use them if you're not a camper. These are general visitor services. Many showers available in individual stalls, all free and hot and amazing.

a bit pricey for dry camping but they do honor the park pass if you have one so that cuts it down some .. I stayed in site 374 .. it has nice views of the surroundings with a little open field off the back and a small stand of oak to one side .. bathrooms were pretty well kept and there are free showers which was nice after 5 days of back country and no access to them .. had deer come through just about every morning .. didnt see any bears but they are in the area as they had a person come by each evening asking about them so make sure to keep camp clean an bear safe ..

Great campsite, the $31 cost is worth it for the unlimited free showers and free WiFi. Free dump stations too.
(no restrictions on use of dump station or showers so might get away with it if you are just a day visitor but please be respectful and don't be cheeky!)
