There are a couple of parking spots with a great view of the lake at the end of a gravel road as well as a couple of other places along the road.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It’s a nice enough spot, not sure I’d say “amazing.” There is plenty of area for tents. While trees surround it there is only limited shade from 9am-3pm. However there is spots in the trees you can be shaded all day. You can bring most any rv here excepted the super big ones. This is the turn around point. The road goes another 150 yards but there is no turnaround if you’re towing anything larger than the smallest teardrop in a small car or suv. Easy LOS for satellite/starlink. You can’t get to the water but the view is nice. There is no log searing here as other posters claim. That is down at the end of the road. Hammock camping can be easily be done.
Report Check-InAgreed! Incredible spot. Turn off the main road about a quarter mile before onto a maintained gravel forest road 619 towards the lake (Google doesn’t recognize this but shows it on the map.) Keep driving to the end of the road if it’s open. Beautiful views of the lake, a nice fire ring and log seating, relatively level parking, a path to the woods and the water, night sky, singing birds, what more could you want! If there are others camping in the spot before this (another good spot) you can mildly hear them but you can’t see them. Its secluded. Absolutely worth a stop to check out! No cell service.
Report Check-InAbsolutely AWESOME spot. Camp wood was here. 1 other person at the farthest spot. 2nd to last is the best spot from what I can see. Amazing views.
Report Check-InAmazing spot, one of the best yet! Long well maintained gravel road, a short way past marker if coming from the North. No problem with 2wd van though anything larger than van would have hard time turning around. 3 decent spots along gravel road with fire pits and water views. All the way at the end is magnificent spot directly on water with your own cove for swimming with small sandy beach. Nice fire pit with benches. Trees for shade and hammock by water. Very peaceful sanctuary. 1 person came for day use. Very quiet and nice stars at night. ATT signal in and out.
