We negotiated 40$ (they asked for 60k Dinar) for double room which is all right for the quality of the room. The parking is an unpaved area directly besides the hotel and open to the street. No cameras and questionable if guarded. There is a police post 200m away and the area is generally good and close to the Corniche.

Arrived from Kuwait border on a motorcycle. Chose this hotel because if the parking lot. Well, reception guys said better to park motorcycle on the sidewalk, in front of reception, and cover the bike. 40k iqd (30 USD) for 1 person, breakfast included. Found room to be clean enough, although old/carpeted/odd colours. English spoken by one of the guys at reception. Very friendly. Construction going on on the access street, some detours to be made. Quiet neighborhood.

Not a bad queen bed room at $25, single occupancy. Street parking under CCTV.

After one night in random hotel in the city we moved on to „Castle Hotel“. They have clean room and a nice restaurant/breakfast place at the rooftop. We paid 57.000 IQD for two people and it’s definitely worth. It is also possible to pay with VISA Creditcard.

75,000 dinar for a double room. The room was nice, but definitely not that nice, so we moved on. Lots of hotel options in town for 40,000 dinar

They wanted to have 120$ for one night for a single person room. I didn’t even start negotiating. They said it’s „season“.
Right now there is the football cup in the city maybe it’s expensive because of that. Hopefully it’s because of that and the „season“ is over after it.

Nice hotel. Room was not super clean. But the breakfast is good and the staff is really friendly. Some of the staff speak very good english. Big parking behind the hotel. It was about 35$ for 1 night with breakfast (2 people). Good place to relax after the stressful border crossing.
