Quiet street parking just on the edge of the Old Town center of Florence, which has various restaurants/shops.

This is a commercial street, not residential, but there isn’t much on this stretch and it’s quiet. Very few cars and people passed by after dark or in the morning.

Public bathrooms: a few blocks away in Old Town center, and when I was here there were two porta-potties in the parking lot across the street too.

3 bars of AT&T

Confirmed with police that it is legal to sleep in your car and park overnight in Florence unless otherwise indicated by signage

The other iOverlander location marked nearby is on a residential street, which I did not feel as comfortable with. You’d stick out on residential streets around here with single-family homes/driveways and not too many cars. I usually try to avoid residential streets unless they have apartment buildings and are densely populated with parked cars, out of respect for locals who might feel uneasy having people parked outside their homes overnight.

Report Check-In

Neighbors constantly harassed me. Not camper friendly.

great overnight spot. stayed across from entrance to hotel. quiet after 10pm.

Report Check-In

I stayed the night in the space behind the B and B. No issues.
Not sure why its marked closed.

Report Check-In

Stayed here from Friday night to Sunday evening in my skoolie with no issues. As previous reviewers have stated, the lot is private property and you WILL get the knock if you park there. But the street parking is totally fair game, as there's a nice section in front of the hotel that's available for parking. Within walking distance to all of Florence's bars, port a potties, and the iconic Exploding Whale Memorial Park. Definitely worth a stop! Very quiet and peaceful at night too.

Report Check-In

This lot is private property and the police gave me the dreaded midnight knock just now to inform me. Luckily the officer was nice, but they do ask for your ID to ensure you’re not a bad person.

Report Check-In

We camped over on 1st st to not be next to homes.
No “no signs” except in parking lots. Good Verizon coverage. The streets are crowned for drainage so when parked against the curb the van was at -5 in most places in town. This was the best spot we found at -3, we put some blocks under the wheel to get it to -2.

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night and it was a safe and comfortable place to sleep in my car. The porter potties were open and decently clean.

Report Check-In

Me and a few others parked here and stayed the night. We had no issues until the morning. Make sure you park on the street with curbs. Parking on or near the empty lot next the public parking lot will result in a ticket, since its private property.
