Tons of free parking around the Thompson Hotel. Apparently, the city is going to put meters here someday but it's been over a year. Lots of overnight parking and I've seen some parked in the grass.

Report Check-Ingreat parking spot but Monday to Saturday you have to pay to park but Sundays are free. pay times is 8am to 8pm
Report Check-InStayed the night, no problem. Make sure you park in a slot that does not have a # attached to it. Those spaces do charge.
Report Check-InArrived at 7:55 pm. A security agent came after 2 minutes to inform us that it’s free from 8:00pm to 8:00am and we can stay over night for free. Quiet and safe place. One other small RV. Plenty of places for small and bigger RVs.

Report Check-InStill a great place to park, go to Abe’s on Lincoln for beers, oldest bar in Savannah, also there are many places to park overnight downtown for a van
Report Check-InParked here for few nights. There is a rooftop bar at the hotel that was blasting its music but they shut down at midnight. Other than that very quiet at night.
The free shuttle “dot” stop is right close by that takes you right into downtown or to Forsyth park so we left our van here and explored the city during the day, came back to sleep at night.
Report Check-InThe location marked is the actual hotel. The streets with free parking are east of the hotel just next door. Pretty quiet area with a little bit of construction noise nearby. Plenty of space to walk pets by the river. More level than most crowned roads, but still a little tilted. Good Visible service.
