Established campground next to lake. Electric sites $20, primitive sites $5. Picnic tables, grills, bathrooms and showers!!!! Easy road in. Register at the marina, or after hours drop the registration envelope with cash or check through the slot. Great sunset, a teeny bit buggy, since it’s right along the reservoir. We were the only ones in primitive camping, and there were plenty of electric sites open when we arrived at 8pm.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
correction to my entry below:
even though the sign says "freewill donation" it actually is $5 for primitive camping.
in addition, the marina is open fri-sun and on sunday there is a breakfast buffet. And they serve burgers, etc for lunch, somewhat reasonably priced.
Directions are wrong, but have no fear. The directions want you to turn right where there is nowhere to turn right. But if you keep going straight for 2 more miles you'll see the signs that take to right where u want to go.
Electric sites are still $20 and Primitive sites are "freewill donation." Here on a friday, Sept 17th and it's completely empty.
We are so happy to find this place after following bum coordinates to the middle of a farmland ocean. We arrived after the marina closed but dropped the registration envelope in the slot. We’re the only ones in primitive, and most electric sites are open. Clean, beautiful, very quiet. Oh, and did I mention free hot showers?!?! And flushing toilets! Bonus!
