Large flat camp site with clean restrooms and Verizon. Trail is closed. This area was burned in 2020.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great spot, a popular off roading area so it can be a little busy during the day but quiet through the night. There were probably 8 overnighters with plenty of room for more and no issues.
Report Check-InGood spot, we were the only ones there
Handy to rmnp. Pit toilets. Lots of the camp spots on the road leading to this had dicey looking entrances, whereas this was super flat.
Quite one night stay, there were a lot of other RVs and tent campers. Had no issue.
Report Check-InLabor day weekend was packed full!!! We went down the right road and also checked out other campsites before this one but they were alll taken by 3pm.
Warning the road on the right gets pretty bad the deeper you go in, we almost got stuck in our 2wd promaster. Came back to this trailhead lot and stayed here, had decent pit toilets and 4-5 other rvs & cars staying overnight.
Report Check-InAs described. Quiet and surrounded by burnt forest. It’s nice to see life returning two years later. Even spotted a black bear down the road. LNT pack it in, pack it out
