Previously overnight parking was only allowed in Lot 1, but now it is only allowed in Lot 2.
Asked a guy who was working at the adjacent lodge and he told me that overnight parking with sleeping in the vehicle is ok but needs to be low-profile...means no chairs, no awnings etc. and only for one night.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A ranger told us that camping is prohibited, despite the „overnight parking„ signs. He recommended us to leave, otherwise we would be sent away at 11 pm. They must have had too many campers lately, camping is prohibited on the whole mountain. Very sad!
Report Check-InStayed here overnight while the resort was closed. Followed the signs to park on the northern side of parking lot 2, lots of work vehicles coming and going, even through the night, but noone approached us. Was able to connect to the (decent/average) resort wifi. Washrooms at the parking lot were closed while we were there.
Report Check-InVery calm place in this time of the year, toilets closed 10pm-ish and lights on the lot turned off about an hour later. Quiet for the whole night. Worth the way up to avoid the noise of the city.
