Something not right?

Description

24 hour parking allowed. Park on the side of the road opposite the ferry terminal, not on the ferry side.

This is a boondocking spot, do not be obvious! This is one of the last spots left on Whidbey. Don't overstay, be respectful.

This is a great spot last night. There were two other camper vans that look like. The parking lot was pretty full when I pulled in around 730. Had dinner at Callen’s which was good. When I originally pulled in, I pulled into the boat launch, which is a huge parking lot and I thought on one side would be the 24 hour signs. I was wrong. It’s literally next to the ferry terminal and directly behind the street from facing the ferry terminal also it’s 24 hours. The restrooms are open till around 9 PM in that building. The boat launch has great bathrooms sounded like it was open 24 hours. I went there late night used to be but now they are free although I couldn’t get hot water, but I didn’t wait around forever so maybe just takes a long time. great views from the boat launch parking lot which is part of Fort Casey camping area I think which is close by and it requires a discovery pass which is $10 per day or $30 per year and you can buy it from the vending machine in the parking lot. Great view ofthe Olympic Mountains from the boat launch.

We pulled in around 10pm on a weeknight and there were lots of available spots. Make sure you are in the clearly marked 24 hour parking spots and not the boat launch parking and you shouldn't have any problems.

The jets were flying until just before midnight, but after that it was a lovely and quiet night's sleep. It was a short walk to some well-maintained bathrooms with coin operated showers over by the boat launch!

As an added bonus, the nearby restaurant Callen's is a great breakfast spot.

so convenient to spend the night here after taking the 8:30pm ferry from Port Townsend! it’s clearly marked with “24 Hour” signs. it was super quiet at night. the bathrooms were locked by 9pm, not sure if that’s normal or not. you can back your van up to the water and it’s such a pretty view, despite it being right off the road! good at&t.

Pretty quiet until morning.
I was at the boat launch around sunset and a park ranger came up and let me know I was free to sleep in this spot, just not in the boat launch parking lot.

As long as you're across from the ferry in the 24 hr area you should be fine.

The boat launch has clean 24 hr bathrooms with coin operated showers.

We stayed here one night. Slept in the back of my truck box with a canopy. It was busy during the daytime but quieted down at night and was peaceful. No issues. Callens Restaurant next door was nice for dinner in the evening. Bathrooms with showers across the way at the boat launch was nice too!

Spent two nights (leaving during the day). Quiet!!

Employee from the ferry told me not to park overnight on the ferry side but to stay on the other side. Definitely a boondock situation - don't be obvious!

Report Check-In

As noted, 24.hour parking allowed. Turn right as you get off the ferry and it's literally right there. Both sides of the street are 24 hour parking.
