Latest Check-Ins

Nice large area with porta-potties. Great view, good cell service on T-Mobile with good data connection.

We arrived on a Friday night in December and there were 3 others camped here, but the area is big enough that we had out pick of spots.

Report Check-In

Nice scenic spot. Memorial Day weekend was nice and quite here. Decent cell signal on AT&T. Cool heart shaped rocks gravesite nearby!

Report Check-In

Easy to find. I think this is the most scenic campsite on the road. Stayed here 3 nights. Lots of others here. 2-3 bars of Verizon.

Report Check-In

Fairly level, several spots available for tent, car, van or RV camping. Verizon service varying from 2-3 bars of 5G to 1 bar LTE, I was walking around playing music through YouTube and then suddenly service just disappeared & nothing works. Last campground with service, I think… drove up to check out the final campground “Nolan” before settling on Greasy Spoon. Listed GPS coordinates may be incorrect but all campgrounds are clearly marked. Primitive camping, no campfires allowed. Lovely view of the spectacular mountains. Would definitely camp here longer if rain wasn’t coming… don’t want to get stuck in this clay mud!! 14 day camping limit in the national forest.

Report Check-In

Good views. Drive easy to get in. Plenty of space. Decent privacy and trees

Report Check-In

Beautiful view, but super busy. Lots of ATVs and other campers of all kinds. Verizon worked ok. Very very dusty.

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

All camp sites in this area are now closed. Giant parking lots near the highway is all that’s allowed.

Report Check-In

ALL individual dispersed sites are closed on this road, and probably all 525 sub-roads too. There are now large designated camping areas.

Report Check-In

Semi-established campground with a sign. Probably 8 to 10 campsites. Spectacular views facing north and east.

Report Check-In

Amazing views! Great level spot, worth the slow bumpy drive in! Sprinter 2wd made the trek just fine. Good t-mobile. Lots of others around but mostly quiet. A few noisy ATV's but after dark it was silent.

Report Check-In

Another great spot on the infamous boondocking FR 525. Hundreds of sites. Great views, not too busy on a Monday. This site has about 6 fire rings spread far apart. Enough room for many small campers/vans. Very windy spot when it is windy. Red rock dust everywhere. Beautiful place. Hiking trAils throughout the forest. The road to Sedona is very rough and slow in our 2wd Promaster. Take your time, go slowly. Make sure you have enough water and supplies. You might want to stay longer.

Great larger spot off FR 525. Easy to get to and great view

Report Check-In

Off on the right side of FR525 near lots of other spots. This one has a pull out road that leads to several spots further back off the main road among the trees. We passed at least 4 spots on this side road before we chose this one, and we can see another rig yet further down the way. Lots of toilet paper around (ugh!) but otherwise a lovely spot. Good AT&T and T-Mobile, although it does fluctuate a bit. The whole area is pretty crowded, but this is a nice spot away from much of the FR525 traffic.

Report Check-In

Great views, good service T-Mobile ... Lots of dwellers around just keep driving you’ll find a spot.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Real quiet - great cell service. I got down the road in a 2WD Sprinter - so you could get down it in basically anything.

Report Check-In

This location has beautiful scenery, flat campground and is tranquil. Possibility of people around you. Cell phone services with AT&T.

Report Check-In

There were some campers but it was ok. Like others, nice view but not a lot of shadow and bit dusty.

Report Check-In

Great spot so far, cell coverage is ok with Verizon. Allot of campers out here so keep going to find a spot. View is amazing and weather is not bad, we recommend.

Report Check-In

Fantastic spot, great views, clean, secluded. Got here no problem with a Vanagon Westfalia. Good cell phone reception on T-mobile LTE too. Few other campers around.
