Description

Large carpark in front of the cruise ship pier and beside the PEI Urban Indigenous Centre which has its own small parking lot (do not park there). Go to the large, paved municipal lot next to it. Will be busy during the day but quiet after 9 pm. There is an aggregates site beside the water and if they are in operation, you may hear them in the early morning (not noisy but there can be operational noise of trucks and heavy machinery). No Frills store, good cell service on Bell. Short walk to downtown for bars/restaurants etc. Access to toilets during the day at the nearby food market. Receiver Coffee - Brass Shop is good for early morning coffee (7 am), washrooms and breakfast (they bake their own bread). Good for a night right downtown near the harbor.

Five other Class B's here tonight as it is high season here in Prince Edward Island. Good place to park with no overnight prohibition signs. You are right downtown near the cruise port. The only negative is that there is an aggregates site beside the water and if they are in operation, there may be early morning noise. Best place for early morning (7 am) coffee, washrooms and breakfast if needed, is the Receiver Coffee - Brass Shop, about a block away.

Stayed last night. Some jerk triggered his car alarm 3 times between 11 pm and 5 am. Husband thinks he was sleeping on his keys.

Other than that felt very safe. Quiet. Good location. A few other rigs close by.

Report Check-In

Great and quiet spot for the night no sign saying no night parking. Just make sure to get spot with no number on it.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to park for the night. Very much as described by others. Since we sleep in our minivan, we have a portable toilet which we put outside so it was a bit tricky in this more public and well lit place to use it discreetly. But it's a great Park and there were several other RVs there for the night.

Report Check-In

As described. Easy to find. Plenty of room.

We stayed here one night in our 26 ft class c with no problems. 3 other vans and 1 truck camper stayed as well. We took up two spots side to side with our back end hanging over the grass. In the back corner there is no security, no signage, just a lot.

Nous sommes restés une nuit. Près du centre ville. Assez tranquille pour un parking au centre ville. Il y a de la place pour plusieurs VR

Report Check-In

Stayed for one night, shared the space with about 10 other rigs. Good proximity to town, everything in walking distance. Even though we stayed Friday night we were still woken up by trucks doing construction on Saturday morning. Maybe use ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. All in all would stay again, great spot. Bathrooms and water bottle refill were available until 8am until 8pm next door in the food hall/ tourist information.

Huge parking lot with lots of other rigs. Close to downtown. Great!

Super endroit, directement au vieux Charlottetown. Près des activités et du centre ville. Gratuit. Vraiment très calme, nous étions une dizaine pour la nuit.

Report Check-In

Très belle nuit pour nous. Vraiment calme et silencieuse avec un bon vent. Peut-être parce que c’était mercredi.

We actually stayed here a few nights while visiting this part of the island…not scenic, but quiet overnight. Our last morning there a cruise ship came in.
No close by open bathroom overnight…come prepared.
I would totally stay here again.

Report Check-In

Municipal parking. Short walk to downtown city and all attractions.
BUT very noisy early on the morning with trucks traffic.

Report Check-In

Very noisy due to traffic. A bit quieter after midnight until early morning hours. Flat and paved.

Report Check-In

Good spot close to downtown. Would only stay there one night

Report Check-In

Quiet night after we realised Walmart is no overnight parking and we were too late for a campground. I’ve added a photo of the front of the indigenous people building - we parked at the back behind the carriages - only RV there

Report Check-In

changed to big rig friendly because it definitely is. easy walk to downtown

Report Check-In

Convenient location directly in downtown. Right by a coffee shop that opens at 7 AM and a Food market/Tourist info center. Slept one night with no issues (assuming it being slow season helped!).

Report Check-In

As previously stated, large paved parking lot no signage, I don’t have access to Wi-Fi with my service provider, close to the founders food market And tourist info. Probably not the best for big rigs most of the parking stalls are for car sized vehicles, vans etc.

This is a municipal parking lot in front of the cruise ship pier and beside the PEI Urban Indigenous Centre which has its own small parking lot (do not park here), Go to the large, paved municipla lot next to it. Will be busy during the day but very quiet after 9 pm. Tonight there was one other Class B, a trailer and an unoccupied car parked here.

2nd night here….popular spot…very quiet and safe.
Gravel company across the way starts up at 7am on regular weekdays, (our 1st night was on a holiday weekend) so no “sleeping in” mom-fri) otherwise the perfect place.

Report Check-In

An RV, a truck-canper and 2 SUVs were already here when we checked in….seems VERY safe….. we are all parked at the far end of the lot.

Report Check-In
